  1. I thought it was closer to 30 per linear metre per lift? @JSHarris @recoveringacademic Spons?
  2. If you read for the link he works for blaby council
  3. I have a pre app in with blaby at the moment! Be nice to see a response soon
  4. I bet they supply materials and this figure is total earnings. The fact materials are supplied would help them argue the self employed case and encourage the jobs to be done efficiently
  5. I still can't see it. It's got to be turnover not profit! I hope he's got a ltd company if it is profit! What would effective tax rate be on sole trader profit of 210k? 80k?
  6. If that's the 210k bloke I just can't see it myself. There's got to be a catch. Is he supplying other labour or materials? Is this his turnover or his profit? Did this include a one off year where a capital gain was made? No way is a one man band subcontract plumber earning 4K a week in profit.
  7. I've heard something about the teslas being tax efficient though. Something about buying through your company and perhaps benefit in kind tax being lower? Also vat back? Can't remember exactly
  8. I'd imagine public. Watch it in the morning or evening when not raining. Is it flowing without any water running in your house?
  9. Wouldn't agonise over that. If you listened to him and put a few in, and the wind still ripped it off your insurance claim would be fruitless!
  10. Is the sag static or moving depending on load? If it's a permanent sag could you not lift the underlay and carpet and latex floor?
  11. Meanwhile in the real world he's banged 100m stone in, 2 layers, 100mm pir in, dpm above and below 100mm concrete in maybe even self compacting for ease of use and flow and job done. Loads better than what was there before from thermal and durability point of view. Happens up and down the country all day every day. Like i I say not advocating any bodges, work has to be up to scratch but next thing u know he will be having soil survey, enviromental searches, radon barriers. Just get it done and do it right - too much bureaucracy
  12. Just do the floor to the current specs, photos throughout jobs a goodun. I'd perhaps start involving them when altering structural bits. Not much to go wrong with a floor if your confident in your abilities.
  13. I use sadolin light oak then 1 or 2 coats of sadolin clear on top. Seems good but osmo oil is supposed to be good too
  14. I'd go with a self compacting concrete too just for ease of use and can work off it. Is this your finished floor as in no covering on top?
  15. Big fire in European factory apparently. Strange how there's a massive shortage but they've got as much as you want if you pay more! Suppose it's economics
  16. Good price really. Include the ally fascia?
  17. Was that quote supply and fit
  18. We were all interested in the answers!
  19. Spoke to a demolition and reclamation bloke yesterday. He says he sells the pir insulation out of houses he demos dead easy. Said majority were full sheets too! Must've been on about cavity sheets Spoke to a demolition and reclamation bloke yesterday. He says he sells the pir insulation out of houses he demos dead easy. Said majority were full sheets too! Must've been on about cavity sheets
  20. Really?! Sdlt can be used against profit. Surely not
  21. Think the compos gone off now!
  22. Would full fill cavity wall insulation do same job if cut into strips?
  23. Build store are full of bs. I've known them find a product, tell the client it's an exclusive deal then the client goes direct to lender and cut them out for same deal. No middleman fees!
  24. You do it. I'd imagine just a form with some evidence. Hmrc website
  25. If it's less than the specified period between purchase and sale of first house your good to go. Plans change as you've found out. The way you've financed doesn't exclude you.
