the concrete part of our shared lane was apparently 35N with fibres and no mesh, it's showing no damage after ten years of farm traffic.

Oh yes. And you don't quite realise just how much real estate is taken up by panels, trays, and flashing.

dpmiller replied to willbish's topic in Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP)

ASHP installation / mount point and draingage
dpmiller replied to Jeremy's topic in Waste & Sewerage
Mine sits on flexifeet, on an extended step at the back door. There's a rear-entry gully there which gets some of the condensate. I also isolated the step from the wall of the house with a sheet of polystyrene before the pour to be doubly-sure of no vibration transfer...- 11 replies

I fear most trade merchants live off the back of the big contracts. Accounts with the Councils, Govt departments, big manufacturing etc. Cost not an issue, discounts not requested... Similar online too. RS Components have a massive stockholding and excellent response. As do Farnell. But CPC is just another arm of Farnell and they sell most of the same stuff but cheaper. The first to are go-tos for the Agencies and Industry, the other where trades and retail go when they can wait a day or two for stock...

New heating for terraced house in London
dpmiller replied to Ferdinand's topic in Central Heating (Radiators)
That is indeed a fact, especially when the RH is high. Which is why there is a defrost cycle. Which still results in an overall COP greater than 1.?- 42 replies
