  1. pretty much the same stuff appears in Lidl too tho
  2. using small bore tubes to move "settled" sludge looks like a not-so-tasty recipe for disaster.
  3. I've a MIG, the MMA inverter, and a DC TIG kit for it. Tig is great, love it, it's very like using a flame. Some day I'll treat myself to an AC-DC Tig...
  4. sounds like a more useable option.
  5. I'd not be so sure of that. Today's inverter sticks are a lot more forgiving than a transformer machine. I've a 90A inverter you're welcome to have a play with if you want.
  6. yep, a big air-lift.
  7. Hmm interesting. Is there a 3-speed switch installed? Are any RF sensors installed?
  8. yep, I paid £29 in October.
  9. pictures of the fan module and connectors and we might be able to work it out.
  10. I'd no problems getting a pallet of plaster a couple of weeks ago, but that *was* Gyproc Carlite rather than BG?
  11. There are flexible hoses between the ASHP and the pipes in the wall?
  12. ^ we're about the same length on a 32mm run, and no issues.
  13. ...back to the diffuser. the fine bubble/ membrane variety are self-cleaning and burst through the sludge every time the blower starts. The holes are so small they're in essence closed when the blower is off. The large bubble type are a different kettle of fish.
  14. The instructions are pretty clear on how to connect it up Dave.
  15. I bought a GSE-based system from them and the pricing and buying experience were both good. edit: I shoulf say tho do ask for a quote as the website isn't that up-to-date.
  16. can you hoist the aerator out easily for a look-see?
  17. I think part of the problem will be the aeration diffuser at the bottom getting too deeply buried. Did anyone look closely at the diffuser on their plant during install? Not sure if there are many shapes or types. The bigger the holes, the slower the airflow and the more chance of blocking I'd reckon.
  18. factory re-set and reprogram?
  19. sounds cheap enough for a trade.
  20. I'm putting 15-18kWh into the tank each day at the minute. That's covering tank losses, water for handwashing etc, and any heating demands too. ASHP has barely fired up in the past fortnight.
  21. I bought one in Lidl at the start of the build. Never used it, still in the box.
  22. Will you be having level access elsewhere in the house?
  23. I'd heard too many negatives about Munster and just went round the local upvc options.
