  1. "not worth"?
  2. how can the tank be exhausted if it's being reheated simultaneously?
  3. Hi there, whereabouts are you?
  4. plus you can go hybrid- cable the easy ones, then wireless off them too. I chose to go wireless and to add the fancy test button and a relay box to integrate MVHR control and CO sensing.
  5. yes, and (originally) yes. Tricity bendix too...
  6. which means your choice of Zanussi or AEG at the spec you desire.
  7. Slight benefit in defrosting perhaps.
  8. put the buffer on the return.
  9. A velux isn't complete without it's flashing kit.
  10. Bit of 20mm conduit and a couple of bathroom/outdoor lights. Sorted.
  11. just a bit of your UFH pipe crimped flat at the end will do
  12. you don't cast them in, you cast in a short length of pipe with a closed end (or similar) and feed the prove into this thermopocket.
  13. why not just put the buffer in series with the FCU? It'll take time to cool (or heat!) the mass of water.
  14. the kitchen isn't fitted out yet and the valve is hanging from the duct in the ceiling (it's for an Island hood) with a large bag taped over it. The bag never fully inflates or deflates and as I said only extremely rarely with unusual wind directions will the flap clunk. I should add that I've the MVHR set towards positive pressure to safely deal with the not-yet fitted boiler stove, and that would make the valve even more sensitive... this kinda thinghttps://www.amazon.co.uk/Klimapartner-100-line-Backdraught-Extractor/dp/B011INHF5A/ref=sr_1_14?dchild=1&keywords=passive+flap&qid=1627639391&rnid=1642204031&s=diy&sr=1-14 but with a thin smear of silicone over the central pivot.
  15. I put a nice rubber-sealed gravity flap in and I can only think of a couple of occasions on a really windy day where it's attempted to lift off it's seal. Otherwise it sits there and isn't affecting airtightness markedly.
  16. Really Boring.
  17. That's why I mentioned the blast tube, they have different hole/ blade/ length configurations
  18. The right engineer would set it up correctly with a smaller jet, specs be damned. Being pedantic you'd probably change the blast tube too, but the look of a clean flame inside the combustion chamber and good numbers on the analyser, and you're good to go IMHO.
  19. do any of your neighbours have children that may be in the view of your cameras?
  20. plus some also have low noise/ night mode which trades a tiny bit of efficiency for less disturbance.
  21. your fridge is quieter than mine!
  22. Mine's no noisier than a fridge and even the fan never seems to work up a sweat.
  23. Not living with it yet Dave but all indications so far are good. With the correct thermistor placement, the big coil should let the ASHP recover temps to sufficient levels for near continuous flow
