  1. No. On the outside is there a gap between the concrete cill and the timber one? Like the concrete sits up in a ridge at the back. And does the concrete one have a good slope on it?
  2. Is there no upstand at the back of the concrete cill?
  3. in which case the door supplier already had the opportunity to correctly measure surely?

  9. no farm suppliers even? Cheap tubular field gates, and then fence boards Tek-screwed on would work well.
  10. One of the refrigerant pipes should be getting hot tho if it's pumping heat. Water pipes cold yes, but the refrigerant should be carrying the heat. It does indeed suggest that the outside unit isn't switching the whole way over. Perhaps give the valve a gentle tap while energised and see if it drives farther?

  16. Inky newspaper to polish wet, washed glass is superb. Almost a reason to buy a paper...
  17. ^ this. They've tried to be neat and tidy by cutting half-tiles, but it needs a bit more to rest on that exposed upstand.
  18. Aico.
  19. Are they specifically referring to runoff from the *slope* or rather the hardstanding within the site? I'd contend that the current solution is accepted and have an Acco at the TOP to stop anything going down the slope...
  20. We went with a slate-effect interlocking clay tile. Much harder smoother surface than concrete, thinner edge, much more slatey-looking https://www.lbsproducts.com/clay-roof-tiles/slate-effect-tiles/snowdon
  21. Our inverter ASHP (with Carel control gear and inverter unit) is pre-programmed with all the settings for various different compressors. Loadsa numbers for electrical, pressure, and temperature characteristics. Not a pressure switch to be seen, everything on sensors.
  22. ^ wot they said.
  23. hang on. This is possibly for a professional qualification and you're asking a question like this on a selfbuild forum?
  24. And if your subfloor is less than perfect (and your U values allow it) go with 50mm of EPS at the bottom. It's a bit more forgiving.
  25. sucking it out of the room by the sound of it...
