  1. Our trays are 1400x900. I went with a 900 screen with a hinged flipper, and a 600 as an end panel. I'm pleased to say that the chicane/ overlap between the flipper and the end panel stops just about everything.
  2. Suggest you get a trained electrician to have a look- wierd readings on the ohms range can often mean there's a voltage where there shouldn't be.
  3. anyways... VOIP. Experience, recommends, WHY?
  4. I think the number format is slightly different over here?
  5. It's not the same exchange tho, Millisle is an annexe of Ards IIRC. Certainly trying to instigate a housemove on Talktalk (just tried it there) says the number can't move/ out of range. Ards town is all 81 or 82xxxx whereas Millisle is 86xxxx. .just re-checked, and the area code is Bangor (North Down) with local number ranges within that. See: https://telephone-exchange.co.uk/group-list.php?group=Bangor (Northern Ireland) I see Millisle is on Openreach's stop-sell list for August '22
  6. So we're getting a bit closer to making a move. As the copper line is *so* long to the area that ADSL or FTTC are pointless, I've gone down the 4g route for now. The locality is the Rural Broadband Voucher scheme but the length of the lane is probably a dealbreaker there I fear. Even if I did take a copper connection I don't believe I could transfer the current number onto it. We're currently on Newtownards exchange, the new place would be Millisle. They're both 02891 but different number ranges. I do want to keep the number regardless, I've had it for 30years and been trading from it for 20... How would one find out easily whether the number actually *could* move? Try and set up a house move and then cancel? But there's no line yet... But I think I'm more likely to just pull the number across to a VOIP service. There's a shedload of choice out there and I know nothing- is it all just re-selling? Any recommendations please? Only looking a single line, with low useage. Will be bringing the current DECT suite with us so don't need "free" phones, happy to purchase an interface. Gracias.
  7. what qualifies "poor quality" with UPVC?
  8. the fitting with the captive nut might unscrew. Look for a hex on the inside or flats on the outside.
  9. You don't need F-gas for a precharged A2A tho do you?
  10. LABC over here (and probably over there too) use the infos in the Approved Documents as deemed-to-satisfy. They're simple ways to comply with the requirements of the actual BRegs and other solutions will be accepted when suitably justified. They gain no additional funds from you choosing and justifying another route...
  11. Is your own "room" actually legal, for that matter?
  12. these say theyre good to 5deg pitch but might be OK at 10? https://www.pluginsolar.co.uk/?product=renusol-console-5200-tubs-for-ground-or-flat-roof-mount
  13. and if you're intending to have lots of longish showers, consider adding a drain heat exchanger (WWHR) to the mix.
  14. sounds like air OK, and you'll probably need mains pressure to shift it...
  15. be careful putting anything in too tight. SWMBO rammed the insulation a bit to tight against the rafter roll in places and it squeaks annoyingly in the wind...
  16. ye olde Magic Roundabout
  17. so help us out, what do you have room for?
  18. undo the screw, pull knob and index straight off, re-fit in reverse order to your liking
  19. it's only a sofa, people do move them...
  20. it all depends on the loading... I had an SE draw up a scheme for the current abode to open up the trusses in part of the attic for "accessible storage" and it took a fair bit of sistering and lots of nails, bolts, and plywood flanges. But it gave me the extra "room" I needed to house stock and computer when young son needed a room of his own...
  21. why not one Thermosense controller and configure a (say) 20c hysteresis?
  22. Are you sure all stopcocks and isolators are fully open? Is there any chance the kitchen tap is straight off the mains before the accumulator?

    Light switch

you could probably make it up with gridswitch bits...
  24. Some of the Chinese ones have a tank inside, yes. Not sure if it's for buffer or DHW holding tho...
