  1. Yep - anything you want ..! Priced me a stainless 350 with a large surface area HP coil too - not that bad on price.
  2. Got any links or pictures..??
  3. Ring Newark Copper Cylinders and ask for Mark - will make you whatever you want with tappings to suit you. http://www.newarkcoppercylinder.co.uk/thermalstore.html
  4. Odd one and I agree with @JSHarris - plenum is usually where pipes join although I've seen a Lindab outlet described as an Rectangular Extract Terminal Plenum so I've got no idea now ..!!
  5. +1 to what @Barney12 said. EPS former, concrete bricks or similar glued to the base insulation with foam and then let the former settle onto them. Weigh it down with a few blocks and job done. If you make a hole in the former using a bucket with its base cut out then it cuts through the former and into the base insulation and forms a neat hole around the drain.
  6. Try these - online prices were about as good as I could find http://ecclestons.com/expanded-polystyrene-construction-products.htm
  7. Potentially however... The Emergency Services network is a different beast and I would hazard a guess that the initial antenna are for that only. Frequency and wavelength are different than that for Airwave and they also use a mesh repeater network so they don't need access to a ground cable for the traffic - doing this for standard phone connections will prove pretty costly and EE ( as part of BT....) won't be spending any more on this than absolutely necessary so you may be out of luck...
  8. Good record hoods have two filters - first set in the hood itself where they catch the grease and muck and ideally these are stainless mesh so you can bung them in a dishwasher. Second filter is either just before or just after the fan and are activated charcoal to catch the smells. @ryder72 probably has some good examples.
  9. What about a UVC with a preheat buffer..??
  10. I don't think 500 litres will be enough - you will have to watch the shower length as despite the boiler kicking in, a 28Kw boiler isn't going to keep that tank hot for long. Any chance of putting the accumulator on the ground floor as that's a lot of weight in an attic.

    Radiator Paint

Wipe down with sugar soap then use EasySand on a cloth to key the surface. Plenty of protection all round with card / paper and then spray with the Plasticote rad paint. Two coats, one when the first is touch dry and at right angles to the first. Then leave it an hour and turn the heating on low and open the windows as it will stink ..!!
  12. We've used Hanson Multicem and it's been great - plastic bags you can keep outdoors and even when they get a puncture it doesn't seem to set as bad as the old paper bags did.
  13. Sterlingbuild were the cheapest I found online and can do top hung. I priced them up and asked my merchant to match the price and they got pretty close - for ease I will go with them.
  14. If you look at that list there Ian nothing that screams out of the ordinary yet it's so elegantly designed to make a difference for you in the future. It always amazes me when I walk round new houses that don't have even the simplest of adaptablity options included.
  15. Only reason for having top hung is if you need them for MoE as despite a centre hung one being large enough they are barely big enough to get through. Are these just for aesthetic reasons ..?
  16. He's just removing the rust from the stillsons so he can tighten up the bath waste.....
  17. Is the main steel under the back wall a single run ..? Watch for bearing ends and a minimum bearing on the padstone. 1200mm of blockwork is fine as a supporting wall assuming it's built well - doubling it in thickness is an option if you are worried and there is a footing below it
  18. Yep - all comes through the flush plate :-)
  19. Piece of 6mm silicone hose that goes on the back of the push button - works as a pneumatic circuit and has a piston on the other end to operate the flush
  20. Hi If you have a look at the PP and see if it was passed with no issues it may be relatively easy to get a new permission. If it was hard, or lots of appeals etc, then you may be in for a challenge...! Also try and find out why it wasn't started as that can sometimes indicate plot issues such as ground conditions as its perfectly possible to get permission to build something that is unbuildable....
  21. Looks really good @Dee..!! I've got 3 that need doing - how are you fixed ..??
  22. That is quite interesting. £20 per sqm for 6" insulated panels, even at weights of perhaps 200kg+ each. Assuming you can move them and handle them could be a good idea. Put it on a suitable support and just cut off the lengths you need for your next building with the mother of all circular saws. What would you cut these with? They are ok to handle - just cut one side with a circular saw and turn it over and do the other side and it will be through.
  23. Need one of these https://plasticsuppliesdirect.co.uk/polypipe-40mm-solvent-soil-boss-adaptor-grey.html?gclid=CJyggMGkmtQCFSEW0wodmZQJtQ solvent weld it into the strap boss and onto the pipe where you would normally do a rubber bung fitting. They have to be lined up perfectly though or they can leak if you misalign them.
  24. No commercial link even at holding company level so probably buying the same stuff from China etc. Plumbworld had a nice unit in their sale with ceramic top and toilet included for £200 plus delivery.
