  2. Some DNOs (NIE) prefer a front corner position for the meter to assist the readers, you'd have to fight pretty hard to get anything other than A unless you go for a kiosk.

  10. I bought a s/h dewalt cordless hedge trimmer a few months back and it's very good, just as capable as the petrol one. I've still got a petrol 4-in one for extended reach stuff tho. When I can use all the tools I have already on a cordless power unit them I'm listening...

There's a massive range of TF providers local to us, and while some of them certainly aim at the developer market, none of them do design and kit supply quite the way many of the Scottish firms do. Every job is a one-off and there are plenty of choices within each company as to what insulation and airtightness levels you might choose to aim for.

  14. We've a turntable-less Panasonic inverter combi- micro/grill/ fan oven, NNCF760. Superb bit of kit- grills and microwaves evenly, and the programs do a great job for pizza and jacket spuds. Warms up quick as an oven too...

  17. standard trench fill for us, blocks on flat up from that, subfloors poured over blinded hardcore *inside* the blockwork. One course of block above that to FFL and TF kit nailed and strapped onto it. Pics in my build thread...
