@vala yes. But what is the pump set to/ can you turn it down a speed?
-
PRV will control dynamic pressure at it's point of fitment. The softener's restriction is dynamic, not static. So static pressure will be the same for all past the PRV yes, but once there is flow then you'll lose some part of that 0.5 bar everywhere after the softener

as wonderful as the Salus jobbies are, perhaps they struggle at the small openings required if there are no other flow restrictions, the stepper will only have a certain resolution. Doing a "rough" balance with the flow meters (and maybe turning the pump down a bit?) should let the actuator work over more of it's span.

"6 mins each" No, it doesn't work like that... -
Is the aquapanel actually needed in this situation?

What's the issue? Help Please ?
dpmiller replied to canalsiderenovation's topic in Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP)
even with an inverter, there is a minimum current needed for the ASHP to run reliably, plus it takes time to start the unit up and begin producing hot water. You'll miss short breaks in the cloud at times and pay for the balance of the power requirement at others. A diverter can instantaneously respond and change the amount of juice going to the immersion. -
smaller toilet/ narrower door? Change the handing of the door? Something sounds wrong with the design...

2-pipe or 4-pipe connection to buffer tank?
dpmiller replied to Mr Blobby's topic in Other Heating Systems
Generally the whole compressor changes it's gas flow direction- it's taking the energy from the warm water from the heating circuit yes, but amplifies that using the power of the heat pump. Normal flow temp in the 30c range will happily let the unit de-ice at 60 or 70c... -
2-pipe or 4-pipe connection to buffer tank?
dpmiller replied to Mr Blobby's topic in Other Heating Systems
@SteamyTea I think the Tee is a benefit here as it'll promote flow into the buffer, the UFH is only supping from that. @Nickfromwales no, circulation doesn't reverse during defrost. -
Can a slab be too thick to have UFH pipes in it?
dpmiller replied to Thorfun's topic in Underfloor Heating
JG and Polyplumb UFH are both 15mm which might explain any confusion. These guys have a good range of 16mm fittings and adaptors: https://pswtradesuppliers.co.uk/ -
@Dave Jones you've evidently never dealt with the guys this side of the Irish Sea then...

MVHR - Which unit?
dpmiller replied to richo106's topic in Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR)
We've got the big Vent Axia and it works well. -
we did poured screed over caberdek on posijoists and it's didn't add a lot of hassle, didn't make the joists massive either.
-
Don't do this. You've no idea how much water is in the tank and running an immersion dry isn't smart.
-
It's not really a split tho, the pipes up and down are water not Fgas.
-
But you do have the satisfaction of knowing where every wire goes and what the function of each relay, switch , or timer is. ?
-
there's nothing whatsoever wrong with the kit, it's the installation that is crap!

IR is definitely the ticket here unless you actually have a need to condition all the air in the space. Any of the smaller garages or workshops I go into use the Infrasun style diesel heaters to make specific working areas comfortable and they work remarkably well https://www.powertoolsdirect.com/sip-1822-infrared-diesel-paraffin-heater or the baby version https://www.dwtoolshop.com/sealey-ir20-infrared-paraffin-kerosene-diesel-heater-20-5kw-230v

the bottom two rows of tiles kick up a helluva bit. Did the damp follow windy weather? I'd suggest the felt at the eaves is questionable at least.
