As per @Temp states - take them outside individually and then join them.

1st one is prob ok - spacesaver-pan-connector? 2nd one. Dig and move. Should have been moved before floor was poured.

What tools/electronic gadgets to set out?

I bought a cheap laser distance measure off ebay - checked it against a works one (£200+). No difference at all (4dp). Water levels are great - go around corners as well. -
What tiles are they @joe90? Nice looking job there.

Good idea - thats Tuesday night then. I'm expecting it to be ok, since I didnt buy the cheapest. Will order the valve showers tomorrow - can then get down to some plumbing again.

Tray is stone resin with something on top. Ordered now. Will prob have a question or two when it arrives - easier to answer than @Onoff questions!

Wont you need some PB behind the manifold? I put some on ours - didnt want BC to start on about 30min fire barriers. I could be wrong. -
Does look gd.

I think Im going for the £100 one & a decent trap. At the end its £40 & its not a game changing amount + I need to make the decision and move on to the next decision!

Hi all, Been getting a few prices from my local BM Eastbrook volente 900 x 900 - £104 excl Kartell kt35 900 x 900 - £66. Both need waste on top. No idea how to guage quality except based on price (dubious I know) - has anyone heard of either of these? Would you buy online? Any recommendations? Thanks Cc

Stayed in loads overnight - when doing the Munros. All great tbh. Scotland has the lot for a climber / walker. If I wasnt Welsh then I'd happily be a Scot.
-
Bent one - screw it up and then the second straight one. Trimming them different length gives more room for fittings as well. Not much room to fiddle normally!

Got one - works well. Just doesnt look like a pro.

So no reservations about buying online then.... @Ferdinand thanks for that info - I will check their www out. Plan was to use a fixed screen. The plan is to sink it into the wall (which from an access point of view does make me nervous) so if I buy an unbranded 'cheap' ebay one then thats good advice @Nickfromwales and @Ferdinand. So no issues with buying that one on the link above? Off to site to get some jobs done before the game later on.... Cc

The time has come whereby we must make some decisions on bothrooms upstairs - otherwise it will hold up boarding. The smallest shower cubicle is straightforward - 900x900 tray with a bar mixer. Will get it all from a local merchant since I dont want to import & its convenient. Main bathroom will have a free standing bath that can go in (with associated taps) after the bathroom is tiled / skimmed. The shower will either be 1200 x 900 or perhaps 1400 x 900 and for this I'd like to give a dual outlet valve a go - this can be mounted such that no one gets wet turning the shower on. This then feeds a wall mounted shower head plus a conventional slide rail (we arent sure whether we will like the water from above or not so want to have options). This sort of thing http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CALLA-ROUND-CONCEALED-2-WAY-3-DIAL-THERMOSTATIC-VALVE-SHOWER-HEAD-AND-HANDSET-/131543404980?hash=item1ea09911b4 but with a slide rail. Looking through the trade catalogues makes my bank account nervous (yet to venture in and start haggling) so my question is - if you wanted to buy on line (to get a competitive price) where would you look? We arent looking for cheap poorly made stuff but neither are we going to put in some mega expensive stuff - sort of good value, medium quality gear. Any suggestions gratefully received. CC

Crikey, that sounds like my situation. Know what it feels like. I shifted 144 boards a few weeks ago - not sure I'd want to do that again in a hurry.

Per m2 cost discrepancies, enthusiasts v. national figures.

Our budget is less than £900 but its me doing all the work & it then takes years. Ours will be done to a high standard and will no doubt give us a good home for a few years before we do it all again...... I spoke to someone around Xmas who had bought a plot and got a quote from a builder - they would make less loss by just selling the plot on again, its not v big or in a nice place. Mad. Too much Grand Design on telly and people are gullible. Builders must make a good living off that type. -
certainly does.

the option to tax is used by land owners because as stated it then allows them to reclaim input vat on what would otherwise would be an exempt supply (no input vat reclaim) - however the option to tax can apply to small parcels of land & not the entire holding. The small parcel of land must be discrete i.e. has defined boundaries i.e. a hedge. The option to tax is not uncommon.

Pretty neat work there.

I nailed my 25mm celotex using the surplus roofing (aluminium) nails - nice big flat heads on them + some penny washers. Still up 2 yrs later. Need to get some ply on to finish the job.
