  1. Fit it as far away from the boiler as possible.
  2. Is this a new build or renovation? can you get rid of the extra soil? Do you plan on running services under the floor?
  3. Can you download some free DWG software? That might let you open his drawings.
  4. Yes it does, need to check it will override the existing stat.
  5. Not sure, winding down at the moment. it’s a Worcester Bosch sense 2 thing
  6. No still figuring it out as my boiler thermostat use a 2 core bus connection, so need to see if there is something I can connect to at the boiler.
  7. Just spray it, that’s all I do, little rub down with sandpaper then spray paint. tape covering the lens.
  8. Get some sand in there and some air you will soon have a good lawn!
  9. unistut fixed to above the door on the wall, sliding mechanism fixed to door. you can hide the unistrut with a timber pelmet?
  10. Same principal https://www.protilertools.co.uk/product/tilemaster-hygrometer-moisture-tester?gclid=Cj0KCQiAzfuNBhCGARIsAD1nu-8B7gdLOmy-oUXUPenZ3s_K_OrUVrHlKq7EyGYGZsKfnTs4EmXXc2MaAssyEALw_wcB buy and sell on?
  11. no that’s a resistance meter http://www.merlinlazer.com/MMS-Moisture-Meter---Moisture-Measurement-System we use this one with the foam brick
  12. Measure the RH of the slab to determine the ‘dryness’ you get accessories for RH probes that push the sensor into a foam like brick, the brick has an opening at one side and this is posed in the floor, you are then measuring the floor and not the room..
  13. 40mm up to 3metres any further up to 50mm
  14. No worries, I will bow out
  15. I managed everything myself and procured everything that I was involved in apart from plaster procured his own materials. roofer procured his own materials. groundworker procurered his own materials stonemason procured his own materials.
  16. Developers have bulk buying power and economies of scale. I did a 60m2 extension, and kitchen to loo conversion, new heating system for £120,000 finished 1 year before lockdown. everything is expensive..
  17. My combi boiler has 22 mm connections for the cold in and hot water out, so bigger flow combis are available if you really can’t fit a UVC Mine is a WB HighFlow 550CDI Are you sure an airing type size cupboard can be created anywhere? I would have a system boiler over a combi any day.
  18. Glue has been used on chipboard flooring for decades. better glue is available than the basic PVA. If your surname is wimpey or persimmon fully understand otherwise get the glue and fixings out
  19. No services except for the lift/lighting are allowed in an elevator shaft… my understanding of the regs and talking to engineers that maintain mine at work.
  20. CT100 sat cable and cat 6a for me, I’m sure 34 others Will have a different opinion.
  21. Bring the data and sat cable( coax is shit- very lossy cable) down from the ceiling down, and power from the ground floor up, avoiding each other. or just bring vertical chases up at each location and clip the cables under the floor to suit.
  22. pipes boxed in the ceiling below? pipe box will also help you cable for the extra smoke detectors and emergency lights.
  23. It’s a 2 string inverter, with 2 strings passing through the top isolator. poor for a new installation as far as I’m concerned. if each isolator was side by side, Dc PV cable could enter via the top and exit via the bottom. Each string would be seperate. AC isolator adjacent to it, it would have looked like someone thought about the installation.
  24. Apart from being untidy, my only issue would be the 2 strings passing through the one DC isolator, but that’s a personal thing probably couldn’t find a specific regulation if all 3 isolators were side by side it would be an easier installation to maintain.
