Go for tri rated cable -
That’s why you keep a retention back and pay after a set defect period such as 12 months. if part of the build has plants, sedum we ask for 24 months defect period on these items to ensure we can see growth.

Sounds daft to me. don’t see the big house builders using pallets and they will try anything to save money. build a table, shed or have a bonfire.

Wire through wall for weather-compensation sensor
TonyT replied to Dreadnaught's topic in Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP)
Very difficult to retro fit an external air sensor, so I would throw in a cable even if it want needed, small junction box to make it look good, and cable marked up at boiler. -
I just want to pay for my energy that I use, not argue that in the summer when the heating is off and I’m still paying for gas they ask to change the direct debit: great- no they want to put it up, then you spent ages arguing with them.

So Green went down the tubes and was taken over by Shell. poor communication from Shell.

Get a m&e consultant to design the installation and provide a spec, then it can be passed on, that way everyone should be pricing the same. get them to arrange the utility supplies too, saves a lot of grief….. that’s what I do cause dealing with utilities is just stressful.

Got to be some mid sized m&e companies out there.. where about is the project?

0.75mm?? depends on the length of the run, seems a bit weedy to me. maybe worth while putting a socket outside rather than drilling a flex through the wall and plugging it in- it’s dog rough

Gas Pipework Jointing Before jointing pipework the pipe ends must be cut square and deburred, especially where wheel type pipe cutters are used. Joints must be made in such a manner that they are mechanically strong, gas tight, free from internal obstruction to the flow of gas and exert no undue stresses on the fitting(s). All jointing compounds and tapes must comply with BS 6956 or BS EN 751-1 to 3 as appropriate. Fibrous materials such as hemp must not be used with the exception of existing long screws where, in conjunction with jointing compounds, it seals the back nut of the fitting. Copper Pipework Capillary joints are the most popular joints used to joint copper pipework, however, it should be noted that there are some basic rules that should be followed. The correct fluxes and fittings must always be used. Fittings must comply with BS EN1254-1 to 5 (formerly BS 864). Fittings may be end feed (Figure 1) which need solder to be applied to the joint, or solder ring (Figure 2) which has the correct quantity of solder contained within an annular ring inside the fitt Quote

Quote BPEC Compression fittings shall only be used where they will be readily accessible to allow the nuts to be tightened to make a sound joint and therefore, for example, must not be buried in the structure, below ground or beneath floorboard

What cables to use within a HA cabinet?

It may be handy to run a 4x4 plastic trunking it helps manage the cables coming into panels. -
I’m thinking about this as the next stop in my heating upgrade. im no tech Luddite, but do want things to work when the internet drops out,,which is regular for my area. we use Alexa for playing general music in the house, so have about 5 of them scattered about. I see the Tado system works with Alexa, but do these units normally work with an app on a phone or say a central tablet too? 15 radiators/towel rails in total so would add some over a few years assuming that they keep old technology supported? any pointers in the smart trv area?

Chin up! remember you can’t win a discussion with a daftie, they have years of experience….
