the insulating powder in the elements is hygroscopic. Same with Pyro cable.

Is the meter connected the right way round? the LED should flash during the day and be on constant overnight.

Can't be bothered, so maybe @zoothorn can confirm for us? And maybe take some nice piccies of how all the kit is sited in the room???
-
but it's not AFAIK, I think we discussed it's siting months back on another thread?

I wonder... if the thermostat controller thingy is in the small room with the cylinder etc in, could the systems fuzzy logic be incorrectly presuming the heatup time/ energy input for the rest of the house? As in, using the weather compensation etc it's dialling back the flow temperature because of the rate-of-rise in the room with the 'stat in...

Integrating an MVHR to our build

The semi-rigid ducts are smooth-bore. -
If the rad is really undersized, how do you kow that the rad + oilfilled heater really *is* enough heat for the room? Just do the measuring we're asking for.
-
put one of your thermometers on the flow and return from the "boiler" box thingy.
-
loss through (new, insulated?) pipes is very small compared to that of each radiator. Sadly you have *no idea* of the 55c bit, and age is nothing to do with it. That's why we want you to actually measure it. Maybe the flow temperature sensor in the unit is duff and reading 10deg out? YOU DON'T KNOW YET.

No digger or dumper on site to ferry it?

The Self-Build-But strikes again: this time lights switches,
dpmiller replied to ToughButterCup's topic in Lighting
If it's what you intended then surely it was designed, and so can be implemented? Regardless of the current situation... /someone did sign off a design for the EIC I presume. -

Heatmiser Neostat v2 temperature sensor problem
dpmiller replied to Ultima357's topic in Underfloor Heating
perhaps calibration is all that is required as the self-heating offset is going to be a pretty stable thing I'd guess... / I'd opine that a good old-fashioned mechaninical stat with accellerator could very well read higher than ambient for the same reason.- 150 replies

Toilet seat - bad design or am I missing something!
dpmiller replied to jfb's topic in General Plumbing
maybe the hinge is flimsy enough to bend until the rear buffers contact, upon first use... -
