  1. Only the finest Chinesium for me, and darned handy it is too.
  2. we've a Panasonic free-standing combi microwave with no turntable, and it does all modes outstandingly well?
  3. One other observation on my system- what kind of trap do you have on the drain? If airflow is imbalanced (too much extract) the extract fan is powerful enough to pull water UP the drain pipe from where it'll flood the H/E drain area and even flow over the bottom of the fan when it'll splash water into the extract outlet duct. Suggest checking the drain pipework is well sealed and the trap functional...
  4. seems it would help with your button and menu issues?
  5. read the manual before purchase.
  6. might pull the covers off and check that the H/E is fitted centrally. If it's moved in transit it could be leaning on one or other of the covers, distorting it away from the foam seal. / mine's normally absolutely dry, but currently- extracting a tonne of water from the screed- there's a weep from the bottom of the front panel...
  7. we bought a plot with planning retained on footings. A change of design took a *long* time.
  8. to have retained planning, the footings must've been inspected by BC. Talking them into getting the files out of storage might take a wee while these days?
  9. drains are already in. If you can use the current footprint and the footings suit what's going on top, carry on. If not, sadly it's digger and crusher time...
  10. why don't you search the Welsh B'regs and find out, yourself?
  11. What is your design floor temp?
  12. unplugged the extension lead?
  13. how much Danish bacon is bought in the UK?
  14. one of these @vfrdave https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Compact-Router-Trimmer-Laminate-Kit-Trimmer-Tilt-Plunge-Base-Guide-for-Makita/324222818852?hash=item4b7d2f9a24:g:2ZAAAOSw--xfAGqL but mine came from a guy in Crumlin that brought a batch in. It's grand for the money, the plunge base is very solid.
  15. is an accumulator an option?
  16. needed to spend the lump money @Declan52. Skim will probably be a room at a time at this stage- I need habitable, not finished, for now.
  17. you need a brave thickness of it I think tho? Well we've a floor. It's solid enough to walk on, hot enough to get the whole house to 17c, and there's water p*ssing down all the windows and doors... @SteamyTea wanna have a go at how much energy 10m3 of gypsum has goiing spare as it cures?
  18. generally the modern willis is a soldered-up unit, it's rare to see one that has a seperate shell and element.
  19. this side of the Pond and no, not expensive. Not terribly high spec either tho...
  20. The BCO isn't coming back, won't be measuring it, and the builder won't be fixing it. But you will live with a cold room unless you work out what should've been done and check what was done. If the room was warm, none of this would matter; but you've got a problem and you're currently trying to diagnose it.
  21. "roughly sure" isn't good enough.
  22. @Conor yes they were, and we were pretty set on hemihydrate from the beginning. The latest cement-based one for CES is apparently very good tho, I'm told.
  23. how did the builder insulate the sloped ceilings?
  24. yes, there's a slip layer down. Still fearful of a breach tho...
  25. Screed day! the two lads were on site at 0750 waiting for me to open up. They left shortly after 1pm, with 10 cube down at about 65mm average. Thankfully, nothing floated away during the process...
