  1. I went with Hoymiles microinverters. They work perfectly well standalone, the DTU (equivalent to the Envoy) is only for data logging purposes although it does give the factory access to the devices to for firmware upgrades/ programmable limiting etc; thus the G98/9 requirement . Midsummer don't sell them into the UK any more but they have them on their .ie site. https://midsummer.ie/buy/hoymiles/hoy-mi300 I didn't get a DTU to begin with but have one now and am just awaiting an account being set up for me.

  3. why would you go with a really crappy chinesium inverter @ProDave when a "proper" microinverter isn't much more expensive?
  4. why was the gas "replaced"?
  5. when did you realise your design woudn't fit on the purchased site?
  6. The gypsum screed we went with is extremely stiff and I'd best describe it as being like a council 3x2 paver. Ever tried breaking one of those?

  14. Poured thinscreeds don't crack at 70mm...
  15. I'm gonna say you'll want more floor insulation as a beam&block subfloor will be chilly...
  16. I went with an inhibited ethylene glycol with reduced toxicity, Thermox DTX.
  17. unpossible!
  18. 4. Live in NI.
  19. The ASHP will "slow down" as the energy is not being removed that it is adding. Just like a modulating boiler.... Remember that the underfloor loops share water with the heatpump but aren't directly connected due to the magic of the mixer valve...
  20. ^ another vote for pluginsolar.
  21. Once the house is pressurised air will follow the extract route quite happily
  22. you might try LBS? https://www.lbsproducts.com/clay-roof-tiles/slate-effect-tiles/snowdon
  23. looks like we crossed... Check it's plugged in and free to rotate, and that there are no anti-frost protections in play.
  24. are both fans actually running?
  25. yes, less restriction means less fan power to get the required flow
