  1. MCS list the SCOP at various flow temps plus there's the attached: CE-iVT9 EN14825 64.181.20.04362.01 Rev.00 TR Performance Pages.pdf
  2. I see the view, and don't care about the floor covering. It's gorgeous, I'm very jealous.
  3. that looks like a 28mm valve with reducers to 22mm??
  4. I went the constructional hearth route, but built off the subfloor with thermal blocks to minimise thermal bridging. The edge foam for the screed went around this.
  5. Uni ridge plus rollout dry ridge? https://www.sigroofing.ie/products/clay-tiles/siga-clay-tiles/dura-ridge-tile-overview/ we got ours from LBS but it's the same product.
  6. "normal" British wiring has the loops and neutrals up at the ceiling rose so you don't need to consider that fourth terminal at all.
  7. Ignore the loop terminal. The wires that were in the bottom of the old switch should be in the top left of the new (all from rear as per the photo). Common. The two terminals at the top of the old switch are the two on the Right of the new one. Put the wires in these, in the SAME combinations as before.
  8. you can do your own design SAP
  9. Our framers seemed to use nothing other than a chainsaw for the whole cut roof...
  10. Don't be too precious about the whole thing, the battens won't be perfect either...
  11. There are worse smells even than that, I could write a book...
  12. where will the outside tap be?
  13. It's the Harlequin Heatstream tank, but I don't know what mods if any they've done to suit the particular app. I'm thinking more of their zoning/ hydraulic seperation technique- a PWM-controlled pump for each zone with all control from the fancy touchscreen. It does seemed to be aimed more at the commercial/ small school/ nursing home scenario where cascading is a benefit.
  14. sounds wrong, I got 5.7kWh today up here, and conditions were "less than optimal" lol
  15. Red do things their own way, so make sure it's someone who reads and understands the blurb...
  16. I'd need a 7 mile long pipe to get mains gas to our house. What do you reckon the payback time would be on that vs the ASHP?
  17. getting a quote generally trumps displayed web pricing, in my experience.
  18. Yep, I used PluginSolar as well. great service and no hassle with delivery.
  19. For both our Hemihydrate screed and the cemetitious tile adhesive, the recommended primer was Acrylic and my calibrated nose reckons it was just a very dilute bottle of liquid tanking... This was the product of choice: https://www.raygrahams.com/products/119743-larsen-styrene-acrylic-copolymer-primer-1-litre-bottle.aspx
  20. what exactly does UV do to aluminium please?
  21. Have you ever had the well water tested for iron?
  22. ^that's the approach I took.
  23. there might be inhibitor, but those flow gauges sure look stinky. I wonder if the residue is building up on the valve pin and then scoring the sealing O-rings... Is your water mains or well, and was it pre-treated with anything prior to filling the heating system? What does the inside of your kettle look like?
  24. My broker explained the move from selfbuild to home & contents should happen when all major trades have left.
