The stuff I've got is 125 which I got from the local hardware shop. I don't know the difference I'm afraid. Edit Apparently the 175 is an acrylic sealant and the 125 is a one hour caulk.

I've used Everbuild Everflex 125 in gaps down to 1mm with no problem.

I doubt the pressure difference is huge but enough to unbalance the intake and extract.

Both the intake and extract vents should be on the same elevation so there is no pressure difference between them.

I guess it's continually being sucked into the house and concentrating there, whereas on the path it's diluted by the moving air.

My Caberdek was glued with foaming PU glue and nailed every 150mm with ring shanked nails. Can't remember the name of the glue but remember it bubbled up everywhere. At least the floor doesn't squeak.

Our timber frame, timber clad new build is insured with Aviva. Reasonable price and good cover.

@Russdl I did what you have proposed using 90 degree bends. I started at the highest point, the equivalent of your A, and ran the 110mm pipe next to the slab foundations, in what looks like a french drain, sloping down to the the end which for me was easy because I dump the roof drainage onto the road so don't need a soakaway. There are not many leaves to worry about in my case but if necessary I can disconnect the base of a downpipe and hose out the obstruction. I connected the downpipes directly into the 110mm pipe using a T connector and an adapter. The soil pipe is a little way out from the wall and so using bends at the end of the downpipe I could angle the bends one way or the other to pick up the T connector near the corner.

Possibly ADM. We had an initial design from them and they were very helpful.

Will you be having a door mat? You can buy coir door matting off the roll around 15 to 20mm thick.

I don't know if you've used Manomano before but I have and I wish I hadn't. I thought I was buying from the UK as there was no indication to the contrary. In fact I was buying from France and I haven't received the goods and trying to get your money back when all you get are emails in french is a right PITA. It's not an ideal time to be buying from Europe with the lockdown.

We had a SMETS1 meter fitted to the new house although it doesn't transmit. They were just using up supplies of SMETS1 meters. I find it useful as it stores a record of all our electricity use.

Another way of looking at this is, that the person who planted the Robinia was being selfish and inconsiderate. They would have known that the tree canopy and roots would be on neighbouring land. What right do they have to plant a tree knowing that to be the case. If you want a tree on your land then ensure all of it is on your land, if not then suffer the consequences of any work being done on the neighbouring land.

Our soil level is only 100mm below DPC and the BCO was happy for us to have a narrow strip of 20mm shingle around the house. Had the soil been 150mm below DPC I wouldn't have needed the shingle.

When we were planning our replacement house we had to move our driveway and that was done within our planning application. It required approval from the local Highways Dept. as well as LPA.

I had Robinias at my last two houses and bearing in mind Robinias are not native and can suffer damage in cold wet winters how do you prove what killed it.

Our BCO was happy with Nu-Lok and we didn't show him any documentation.

Can you have a saturated solution of that stuff?

I bought my first one only a few years ago and I wished I'd had earlier for some jobs. I bought an Erbauer because I wasn't sure how much use it would get but it's very good for the money.

Very true. I spent around £7k on tools to build my house. I wonder how many people include that cost when calculating cost/m2.

I would have thought more than £4500, as that is what we paid for an Internorn PH entrance door nine years ago.

Many years ago a friend of mine made sliding wardrobe doors out of MDF and routed grooves in it to look like T&G.

Sounds great. That's what I want, the three Ns, no near neighbours.

Our site insurance didn't mention it so we didn't use it. We lived on site and are out in the sticks and it was a few years ago. Any deep holes we roped up so it was difficult to fall down.
