  1. I thought anything over 1.5 and you were on suspended floor? Fair play if you can get away with the slab cheaper and better I think
  2. And also now suspended floor instead of slab!
  3. Yeh either branded same as adhesive or sbr diluted as advised above.
  4. Sussed it thanks @TonyT! Dissapointed I had to use my own brains here and nobody bothered to answer before today!
  5. Under the tiles?! Wrong choice
  6. Don't do it. Just get lath and felted
  7. Photos @Bored Shopper
  8. I've recently bought a videx intercom and code entry. 200 ish. Gate soon to be installed but the videx seem to be well regarded
  9. The ladders are made for 600 c ie 550mm gap. You can always put mvhr up before you fix the frame in.
  10. True @newhome. Mine basically complies might have a few extra shelves in than allowed. I think you're unlikely to get pulled by the vat man unless you have a big claim for extravagant wardrobes like that bespoke bloke near me does. In reality a few extra bits of cls, some extra plasterboard and some shelving is going to get swallowed up in the whole house vat claim pretty easily.
  11. Should add that includes shelves and hanging rails etc
  12. I did that too nod but don't underestimate the cost. Did mine after the place had been plastered and I reckon with all labour and materials they've got to be worth a grand per set
  13. My 2g Windows in last place seemed to sometimes suffer from condensation internally. I think it was something to do with the vents.
  14. Are you a system designer then peter?
  15. Maybe a rush of as designed Sap submissions before the cut off them a bit like 2015 when part l changed.
  16. Not bad. My boiler about a bag of sand then 45 each year to keep 10 yr warranty. I think @joth has articulated the concerns better than me. Also as @PeterStarck says they do need larger area to work due to lower temp. I thought the argument was if it's a well insulated home and gas is avail use that, then swap to ashp if and when gas becomes obsolete.
  17. I wonder if there will be a last minute rush on gas boilers in 24/25?
  18. Actually he can't - he refuses to service or fix them, just new installs. Id imagine by 2025 he will be retired and just doing jobs for beer tokens
  19. How cheap @joe90? I know the heating system is roughly similar, bar size of rads. But id say there's a lot more people out there that could fit a boiler but not an ashp. The plumber I use is coming up to 60 hard enough to drag him into semi modern practices as it is!
  20. I have a feeling you will disagree with whatever I say! I wouldn't know if it is a simpler option in the technical sense, just that it is the common thing to use. Operation is hands off, though I suspect ASHP is too? Design seems easy enough - size appropriately. Do people often size ASHP wrong? Installation - Wouldn't know, plumber makes it look pretty easy and lots of readily available fitters. Maintenance - The yearly check to keep the 10 year warranty seems pretty quick. What kind of warranty is on ASHP? Bet they don't need yearly inspections?
  21. Gas is just a lot more straightforward for Neanderthals like me
  22. They've got a bag of sand in for tree cutting. Think @ProDave advice is the best bet. Also sharing with neighbour if they get permission
