    To hold off heating on 50mm centres and creating hotspots. Id have used insulation tbh, but that'll suffice. @Construction Channel, forgive my naff memory but what are you using to heat the place?

    If the architect has written a response that states that they couldn't be bothered to fully read your weekly emails as they were "too long" a judge would tear a slice off them. Hold back £2k and tell them it's going to court if they want it. Then when they walk away, £2k the lesser but £2k penalty the wiser, use that to go on holiday. ??

    That membrane is a joy isn't it Dont let that stick to itself after peeling off part of the protective film.......Not good. Excellent system overall though with it decoupling too. I didn't know about that until you mentioned it elsewhere tbh.

    If biodegradable then what about disposal to sewer / other & typical costs per say 8 year event if known ? Eg professional disposal with paper trail ? Most people with ST I've been called out to ( not working ) don't even know it's a sealed and pressurised system with a pressure gauge until I point it out. A quick top up and they're off to go, but some say they haven't bothered with it for ages as they thought it was going to cost for repairs. Another top day for the "fit and forget" posse. You pay they walk away . Bonkers.

    I have googled the life out of this and cannot find much to say that antifreeze needs to be changed periodically. Even heat pump manufacturers are playing that down.Do you have reference material / links? @JSHarris, any input please?

    I'd hold that thought for now . The storage temp is neither here nor there if you have a blending valve on the UFH manifold, and the only time you'll need the PCM 38 is if your heat source is low temp, eg solar thermal or heat pump. Hopefully I'll be Sunamp acccreited very soon, just waiting on a date. Then I'll know them inside out. What I've seen so far makes them a game-changer imo.

    Put a non return valve on the pressure tester and leave it on overnight. That'll capture the maximum static pressure which usually peaks out around 01:00 to 04:00. Once you have that information you can then properly decide on a solution. Cold mains accumulators sound like they'd sort your problem TBH. Sealed potable and simple.

    Id cut a pair of channels in the floor and insulate them with some 12mm wall armorflex. ? Negligible heat to floor slab then.

    @Dreadnaught Id reconsider the Willis heater and await the arrival of the 3rd generation Sunamp heat battery if I were you. . DHW and space heating in one box with zero Willis-associated external pipework / pumps / losses, and you won't need a Sunamp ( PV model ) then either so none of those internal wet components either. Near 100% efficient for electricity to PCM ( Sunamp storage ) and loads less complexity.
