  6. No Harness in sight! Atleast the hi vis would have saved him!
  7. Honestly Quest have a new series on scrap kings. they follow a few firms. I couldn't believe one of them other week. Jumping off scaffold into man cage. Loading from scaffold into man cage. Driving 1/2 mile down road with someone in man cage. I honestly don't know how they wont get a pull now... https://www.questod.co.uk/show/scrap-kings/video/botley-shops/EHD_214416B
  8. Why can't you screw another set of hooks further down anyway?
  9. Cheers will look
  10. Think the backhoes are a bit more cumbersome as you allude to. Also harder to operate backhoe than you think. I've got a rough terrain forklift. They're a handy tool. Again though the bigger jcb/Sanderson ones weigh around 5t will soon churn up a site.
  11. When's the lift going in for the shower tray?! Sorry couldn't resist with thread title
  12. Ha I thought these u values had to be hit now regardless of other things to offset. Learn something new everyday. Think I'm going to go with 200mm eps under floor. gives around .14 based on p/a ratio
  13. Sorry my bad you're right. Didn't have to enter a password my end
  14. Jeremy are you building regs U values right or is it outdated? Thought floors were now .13
  15. Thanks @JSHarris. I've generally been finding u value calculators on companies websites i.e. jablite to help me work out U value. I guess your spreadsheet is a form of this except just input the raw data? I will download good to have. Cheers @Russell griffiths will look
  16. Thanks all @Russell griffithswhat suppliers are you using? I've just been doing some quick googling and perhaps better prices to be had via merchant? Sure 150 pir looked to be around 50 quid with 150 eps 30 quid. Tbf if only need 1.55 thickness then 225mm ish eps must be getting to bregs u value. .13?
  17. Never had timber treated for floors or roofs but always an option on quotes. Would be interesting to hear definitive answer
  18. I've only had a quick look online will have to be a bit more thorough. Is it right that roughly you need double thickness of EPS 70 to achieve same Performance as PIR? I cannot find EPS70 for half the price of PIR. Am i missing a trick here?

Mortgages will potentially be the stumbling block. Remember they're the only thing that keeps this gravy train going!
  20. Rwa45 usually my preference.
  21. Wont water board have some say on size of duct for water pipe. I know customer self installs that end but usually here they are pretty strict.
  22. 2 1/2" latch 45 mm backset 3" latch 56 mm backset
  23. 1000 from floor. I just measure 980 from head to spindle height. Usually drop the privacy bolts atleast 3" below this. It's furniture dependant to some extent. Hold your handle and privacy latch and decide what split you want. ...but yeh 1000mm from bottom is pretty standard
  24. Depends on construction method and subbies. If traditional methods with traditional trade you would hope it wouldn't be too hard. Likewise if modern methods using subbies well versed with them methods. Mix the two and there will be some head scratching
  25. Theres a lot of different features on these units. Some have inbuilt humidity sensor others can buy seperate? Do you have to allow any kind of other first fix electrics for these i.e. wires to plenium locations or can everything electric wise be contained where the unit is?
