  1. how long is the street, eg, could you crane over the top of other properties into site?
  2. but that's the thing with an impact- your wrist doesn't feel the torque...
  3. so it's the wee yellow buttons you need to press to test them, yes .
  4. ^ my mate got one of those and it's stonking. Not sure what it's ultimate torque really is, but the motor is chunky and it has no problems with 4" coach screws and the like. Seems as good as my 1/2" 18v DW. Oh and battery+ charger for £18 is cracking.
  5. does the TF kit not come with ties?
  6. Don't skimp on a few quid for bits. Heck, methinks you'll be shopping for a new drill sooner rather than later... Got a Lidl or Aldi nearby?
  7. Northstone quote me 36p per, full loads delivered.
  8. is 87p good over there for a 4" block? Ouch.
  9. That's what my chap wanted. I offered to get in 300s but he was happy to keep'em standard.
  10. The black box looks like it's a starting capacitor and if there's no voltage across it yet there's 240v coming off tthe PCB to the motor, then the motor's duff.
  11. A bag of lime was the request, here.
  12. Board looks fine, it's normal for a dropper resistor (the big grey one) to make things warm...
  13. Yes, got a gun. It's a bit loose round the banana links but everything else isn't bad. Nice selection of buckets too. I can see the rake coming in handy later.
  14. State of play: waiting for fabricators to re-open after the silly season so we can get some steels. received letter from BCO with laundry list of queries. I'll not bother itemising them here, most relate to IHP referencing RoI documents rather than our Technical Booklets, some require relabelling of detail drawings, and some are answered in the SAP document but not explicitly on the drawings. Oh and we need to show infrastructure for high-speed internet. Uh, yup. The only substantive issue is with chimney height and that can be dealt with by removing the fancy architect-y cast bit on top and just going with pots. So I've spent a few days getting to know the oily bits of new toy
  15. I'd go parallel rather than switching between two; the momentary OC might cause a code.
  16. could you make one cut yourself and then get the waterjet to take a sliver off one or other side?
  17. Time for a solicitor''s letter to the landlord methinks.
  18. But where *is* the boundary?
  19. You say the wall is yours, the fence is his; where is the boundary and how is it marked?
  20. very nice, Dave.
  21. Try this side of the Pond too.
  22. CCRS Recovery did it, fast and efficient. Heartily recommended!
  23. No, not unseen. I've had a good look round it and everything seems to work and it's dry etc. No doubt groundworks Paul will proclaim it a total donkey when he sees it but I'm sure it'll do just fine.
  24. Well for better or worse I've dealt on a 3t Takeuchi. Having trouble now getting it shifted as a. it's the silly season and b. machine +buckets+spare track+ trailer is a bit heavy even for a Disco or such. Need to get it from Aghalee to Ards, any contacts?
