  1. Board looks fine, it's normal for a dropper resistor (the big grey one) to make things warm...
  2. Yes, got a gun. It's a bit loose round the banana links but everything else isn't bad. Nice selection of buckets too. I can see the rake coming in handy later.
  3. State of play: waiting for fabricators to re-open after the silly season so we can get some steels. received letter from BCO with laundry list of queries. I'll not bother itemising them here, most relate to IHP referencing RoI documents rather than our Technical Booklets, some require relabelling of detail drawings, and some are answered in the SAP document but not explicitly on the drawings. Oh and we need to show infrastructure for high-speed internet. Uh, yup. The only substantive issue is with chimney height and that can be dealt with by removing the fancy architect-y cast bit on top and just going with pots. So I've spent a few days getting to know the oily bits of new toy
  4. I'd go parallel rather than switching between two; the momentary OC might cause a code.
  5. could you make one cut yourself and then get the waterjet to take a sliver off one or other side?
  6. Time for a solicitor''s letter to the landlord methinks.
  7. But where *is* the boundary?
  8. You say the wall is yours, the fence is his; where is the boundary and how is it marked?
  9. very nice, Dave.
  10. Try this side of the Pond too.
  11. CCRS Recovery did it, fast and efficient. Heartily recommended!
  12. No, not unseen. I've had a good look round it and everything seems to work and it's dry etc. No doubt groundworks Paul will proclaim it a total donkey when he sees it but I'm sure it'll do just fine.
  13. Well for better or worse I've dealt on a 3t Takeuchi. Having trouble now getting it shifted as a. it's the silly season and b. machine +buckets+spare track+ trailer is a bit heavy even for a Disco or such. Need to get it from Aghalee to Ards, any contacts?
  14. sounds like you want your stats/programmer to operate the motor valves and the microswitch to then command the ASHP?
  15. Board lifters aren't too dear.
  16. I've a similar one and yes, it does what it says on the tin.
  17. Of course, you mean GB and NI...
  18. Screed looks great! One question. If the frame uses TF200thermo inside and out, is there a VC layer as well on the inside?
  19. Blockwork done for now, about a thousand in. All on hold for now until the steel posts come in and are fitted.
  20. Are those concrete flue pipes rather than clay?
  21. surprised it's internal fuse didn't pop first?
  22. Yes indeed. Blocks arrived first thing and there was no problem craning them where required either. Corners set yesterday and two tubs delivered about a half-hour ago so after a short teabreak the two Terrys were gonna get stuck in.
  23. Thanks Nick, that's the explanation I need- meeting the BCO for the first time today hopefully and I don't know how switched-on he is on drainage ( fire detection is his "pet" subject apparently)... All agreed on 110mm in through the subfloor then. Vented at the plant and AAVs elsewhere. I'll bring the two greys together into a back-entry gully trap as that can be positioned for the outside tap too. Sorted.
  24. I must admit I'd prefer either a trap or an air break anywhere a drain is entering the house. That way if you need to remove a sink trap for cleaning there's no chance of sewer gases entering.
