  1. I'm just using Aico's wireless test button and relay interface for the same kind of functionality. Smoke will kill power the the MVHR *and* an emergency light on the same circuit, but a CO problem will Boost the MVHR.
  2. Mine's doin it at the moment. All of the panes, the whole house.
  3. double-glazed glass unit. Warmth from inside the room heats the outer glass, raising it's dewpoint.
  4. there isn't ZERO heat loss across the unit.
  5. it'll be different once the room is heated.
  6. have you actually tried power cycling it?
  7. we're different in NI...

  10. Bearing in mind that in NI and Scotland windows are installed slightly differently, I'm still kinda intrigued as to how the frames are fixed to the TF especially if they've been planed down...
  11. so the windows were supplied oversized for the openings?
  12. Is there any issue with using a potable vessel (replaceable bladder) on a heating system?
  13. just consider that the windows attach the the timber frame , Zoot, so there isn't an easy way of having the window inside a bigger hole without it being at least a thermal bridge and probably a nightmare to securely seal.
  14. how do you know it would be expensive?
  15. depends. There's good practice, and there's what happens. And how do you quantify continuous?
  16. Dunno if any are made in NI?
  17. SBS is the unit of choice round these parts mister. https://www.sbstradesales.co.uk/
  18. If anyone's looking for a way of cooling a single room... https://coolenergyshop.com/collections/installation-accessories-1/products/cool-energy-wac-c-12-inv-through-the-wall-air-conditioner £200 currently.
  19. bout ye! Welcome to the club, whareabouts are you building?
  20. neither back-to-wall nor wallhung were acceptable domestically. And I'm all for an easy fit *and* easy life. So bog-standard (sic) it is for us.
  21. Goodies. Haven't unpacked the bath fully yet, but it's a big'un, a 1400 symmetrical corner. Threw some ceramics together for a look-see, as I hadn't actually seen them in the flesh prior to purchase. Lecico Atlas Smooth, we have a Lecico suite currently and I've no problem with the quality, this range has the look we wanted (SWMBO wanted a classic round bowl but with no hard-to-clean external detailing) at a nice price-point .
  22. For some of us it kinda still is...
  23. don't have a wooden first floor...
