  1. id make sure to have a minimum of two outlets if its an enclosed parapet. Is it a warm or cold roof ?
  2. pipe a gas supply to it also, they are much better (cheaper) to run than the electric ones.
  3. amazing looking shed, now to brick it up!
  4. bit like putting the 50p's into the electric meter in the 70's.
  5. If the flat roofs are open to the elements underneath why bother with VCL and insulating ? Wouldn't bother with vents either as wood breathes. If on the other hand the space under them is going to be heated then you need to decide on a cold or warm roof design. Warm being far superior.
  6. mains gas an option ?
  7. they 'work' for the elected councillors. Attend the next meeting of the planning committee in person. Our local council is equally useless, it takes a certain type to work for the public sector ......
  8. get your local counciller on the case. even if they issue a notice you can appeal it.
  9. only one thing is guaranteed with hidden gutters. They will block and they will leak.
  10. do you think they updated the maps for next time ?
  11. i dont see the problem here, dpc is working as intended ?
  12. job for your local councillor.
  13. you buy the map from the utility company, they are indicative only.. You CAT scan and keep a record off it. Then if you do hit and damage you can argue your case against costs. Your lucky with electric if it was BT you could be into tens of thousands. http://www.digdat.co.uk/ is a good start.
  14. Can you raise the front of the drive so the water bypasses you from the T junction ? How is the T junction drained, are there ditches or piped ?
  15. grey water pumped chamber. As we all know soakaways are a waste of time in clay ground so it has to go somewhere else, normally the sewer although the sewer companies dont like it.
  16. try www.online-bedrooms.co.uk they can produce a CAD design of your requirements for no charge. Just under half the sharps prices i found and its made to measure.
  17. imagine the surprise. ...
  18. this is a really good example of why many warm roofs fail. A combination of lack of properly sealed vapour barrier and the insulation (or lack off) bringing the dew point into the building.
  19. just read the regs 5.16
  20. bit silly having to pull out a WC to rod it isn't it. Always try and build to the best standard not the worst.
  21. only relevant to multi property storied buildings. Not single occupancy houses.
  22. they are correct you cannot use a Y for 2 WC's as they cant be rodded. NHBC spell it out https://www.nhbc.co.uk/binaries/content/assets/nhbc/tech-zone/nhbc-standards/tech-guidance/5.3/p261---tg-5.3---y-junctions_v1.pdf
  23. 5 pages of crap, to sum up. heat pump was a total waste of money for this property.
  24. Howdens, jewsons, travis etc etc
  25. you can go down to 3m with a 450 chamber and reducer ring but they are not really practicable to rod at that depth. your in brick built / conc ring territory at much over 2m. they are quite easy to make out of 110 pipe, see here for an example. Depth is going to be your problem. https://www.pavingexpert.com/drain05
