  1. ground floor isn't an issue bring up sewer where its needed, first floor you need to lose them in the stud (unless you want council house style boxing in)which means that stud wall will be wider than normal to accommodate 110mm pipe. Lose the pipe in the elevator shaft and run to it through pozi joists.

  4. No use to the OP but better method is bring the pipe through/under the footing ducted in 110mm sewer pipe then carry the duct up to the finished floor.
  5. depending on the scale of your rebuild, 1 room or whole house etc then it will be worth your time investing in a QS. Expect to pay £1500 - £2000 m2, with the lower assuming you do the labour.   6. not really. They are for the mortgage company to claim against in the event of a structural failure resulting in an un-mortgageable property. Otherwise buildings would be built cheap like in india/pakistan/middle east like cow sheds.
  7. you could look at helicoil screw piles as a tree safe alternative.
  8. trussed roof is no more difficult than a cut roof to seal. Make sure whichever VCL barrier you use (Alutrix is best) is brought down onto the walls and sealed. You need to think about lights as you want zero holes made into the VCL ideally.

  12. be mindfull on the top and sides that by bringing the membrane inside you are giving moisture a track to get it via gravity.
  13. they are interlocking so would be water tight laid straight with the correct headlap, as would a single row on its own for example. But as others said would look 'different'.
  14. you have a cold roof, this means it MUST have airflow under the tiles to remove moisture. You can insulate upto 50mm of the bottom of the underlay below the tiles as long as the eaves and ridge are open to airflow.

  22. in the absence of any gutters where are you expecting the water to go ? Waterfall off front of window or dribbling down the render ? First job is to get water away from the structure as you don't want permanently soaked walls/render. Pointless worrying about any staining/damp until you have that sorted.
  23. you cant choose randomly it will be specified on the the beam drawing so check it.
