would it have been possible to drop the internal floor by 1m so you can stand up on the 1st floor ?

i use 3 x 2 treated and 2.4 100x100 wooden posts to make our closeboard fence. None of it weighs a ton and all pretty cheap from any builders merchant.

you need to double check the stairs to make sure you have headroom when travelling up the run. May have to adjust those small joists to achieve it. You can put in the dimensions at stairbox and it will check it for you.

timber posi joists are much easier to work with i found, not to mention getting services through them. the other joists can be hangered off the doubler easily enough. An RSJ at 7M is a big beast to manhandle and would be much safer to get in with a crane which all costs money.

if it was a new build the council would make you take down that high wall blocking your view of the road to an approved visibility splay!!!

i really dont know how mvhr systems work, but could you relocate the intake to a gable away from the chimney ?

if it was me, id run it all in 32mm from the meter. For a little increase in cost the flow losses are as small as you can make them.

Hi, I am looking to fit a Vent Axia sentinel multivent into a relatives bungalow. I have access to ceilings for all the rooms (5) that need venting. https://www.vent-axia.com/range/lo-carbon-sentinel-multivent-plus Does anyone have experience of these units ? Are they any good? Should I be looking at another brand ? What sort of ducting is best to use, flexible/rigid ? thanks Dave
