  1. Top is probably 1950s, bottom 70s
  2. https://www.discount-electrical.co.uk/product.php/385709314/prysmian-6242yh2-5gry100-basec-approved-6242y-grey-twin---earth-cable-2-5mm-100m-reel £69.97+vat or a couple of pound cheaper a roll unbranded
  3. Are any actual door going where that 6panel door is propped up? Is there any architrave going round the opening? It looks like a wood lining Can we see the left hand side?
  4. This would be the best solution. Its what i used (or maybe a grohe one) for an 800mm semi pedestal basin https://www.qssupplies.co.uk/bathroom-furniture-shower-taps/20707.htm?srsltid=AR5OiO0eZ2QgA3BZlJLLuKizb6yrzI--qHn9haHsHr50G90sWfvtS6lhrb8
  5. Did you pay £100 of the bill by credit card? If not you need an expert opinion by a RICS surveyor. Search their website dor someone local to provide you with their opinion, you will have to pay, but can then sue for the cost of repair plus that fee
  6. I fitted some on some floating homes. They seem as good as anything else. Good availability in numerous builders merchants gives assurance its decent.
  7. You could rejig the airing cupboard position and entrance doors to bedroom 1 and bathroom to make the long dark corridor half the length. Would it work with the bathrooms an en-suites at the front? Then alot of services would be in the same area, upstairs and downstairs
  8. Looks like your eaves course has run out a bit
  9. There is approx 0.12l of water in a metre of ufh pipe. You have 704m + 349m So 84.48 + 41.88 = 126.36l of water in your ufh add to which you have 3 towel rails
  10. Also look on the back of the tile. E.g. it may say Acme Sandstorm or Rosemary etc
  11. Or run a knife along the line you want
  12. https://superiorrendersupplies.co.uk/blue-dolphin-exterior-rough-surface-masking-tape-(orange)-48mm-x-50m~225 For the brickwork and low tack masking for the window wood. Also consider cling film for wider window protection. Remove the next day
  13. You don't build and design a Georgian style house if you want to break the symmetry!
  14. Save your SE money and pay a brickie a days wages to repoint it!
  15. Discount 4electrical
  16. Shame not to balance it up with a matching bay on the right/study window
  17. Looks like a lot of money being spent on steels! Not a lot of grouping of bathrooms to reduce the number of soil pipes, distance of pipe tuns etc Not much you can do about it now, you are already committed
  18. I like LTP mattstone
  19. I think that if the whole garden is on a constant slope, you could just work with the slope and build it off the existing slabs, so long as they are flat, rather than level
  20. I was down in Cornwall last week and the little cafe in Kynance cove has Solar tiles instead of panels & tiles etc
  21. Yes it works well. Make sure you are 100 percent happy with the fit and levelness and packing before and foam is added. Good idea to dampen the blockwork Have bricks/blocks/suitable weights to keep the windowboard in position whilst it sets
  22. Cyclists are not permitted to ride on footpaths unless there is a specific order allowing them to do so e.g. cycle lane. I do not believe that it is a highway. I would try and establish whether cycles are permitted to use it and then appeal
  23. Quick glance, but item 39, contractor 2 is at £700 for 46sqm blocks?
  24. If you can agree to get them to replace the lead bit for free, you will save a lot of digging, then bung the lads £50 each to run the pipe where you want...jobs a goodun
