Unlikely that the back of the pan is flat anyway from my experience. What’s it like from the level of the bolts to top pan height..?? Have you got the pan so you can have a look to see what happens when you offer it back ..?

200 tonnes clearing a site and digging reasonably deep foundations isn’t unreasonable. It’s one of the big issues with even slightly sloping sites - a 5 degree slope on an 8x11 footprint can soon create 100 tonnes extra.

I fit mat wells into flooring as it looks better - usual problem though is the edging and I’ve now got a good local supplier of stainless angle who will TIG and polish the joints for £10 each.

I thought this too and was confirmed by a council spec for a pavement to road threshold that has a max 35mm step from road to ramp and a 1:8 gradient requirement. Seems odd that the public roads are vastly different to imposition on private houses. The treatment of the rules between England and Scotland is interesting where the English rules only require entry level WC and access yet the Scottish build in the requirement for walls capable of taking a stairlift yet neither seem worried with anything but 762mm doors elsewhere in the property than the deemed access level ..!

No they are to stop you smacking your leg on the threads and filling them with plaster and tile adhesive ... they go in the bin when you fit the pan.

One of my roofer’s wanted to buy a 3m roll of 900mm code 4 just to finish an apex that was 200mm short in one corner... 10 minutes and one blowtorch later with my dads old lead soldering iron I’d put the corner on and you can’t see the join ... it’s not difficult to do, you just need to take your time - which is why most won’t do it as it gets put in the too hard box ...

Superglue works if you want it permanently bonded.

They actually work by lighting the edge of the diffuser not as a slab of leds. You could do the same with a piece of sandblasted glass - how big is the piece ..?

No shortage of Climaflex but Screwys have done a deal with a supplier that is similar to Polyflex or KFlex and it’s cr@p....

An airtight membrane can just be a sheet of plastic nailed to the timber - it is 100% air and vapour tight and comes on big rolls .... it doesn’t need to be complex ..! Would an I Beam / cellulose pumped roof no also take out some of the noise from the roof with rain etc ..??

PV manages itself - they are self contained. The solar diverters tend to manage at export level so again are independent. MVHR tends to be self contained too - they have a controller of varying levels of sophistication. Some such as the Mitsubishi units have integration options into the M-Bus architecture but it’s not really relevant. The last are really the UFH/DHW and Boiler or ASHP. Most of this is standard controls. You can integrate this lot but it begs the question why..? Some people have got Loxane or sensor based systems but others have just gone with the manufacturers controls and simple standard time switches and programmable thermostats

EPS won’t give you the uValue as well as PIR and it doesn’t tape well. PIR provides the vapour membrane too if it’s taped on all the joints. It’s also half the thickness for the same insulation value

You’ll also need primer as it’s for bare steel so that’s another £20... a sheet of fireline is £12 and it will need to be boarded and skimmed anyway so why not just do it to start with ..?
