  1. I used ply fir my distribution/silencer box, if your worried about condensation then paint it (lots).
  2. As said above, no solids, only fluid so can’t see why it would need rodding.
  3. I also have a cheap small pillar drill which does not get used much, but when I do it’s a godsend. I also have a mortice machine which gets used once in a blue moon, but brilliant when I do. Some say they are “boys toys “ but at least a toy that does good work.
  4. Initially I did not insulate my two outside connections and it was the intake that formed condensation on the outside. Cold incoming air in a warm roof. I insulated both to make sure.
  5. This is difficult to get right, I got mine fairly close. I asked the plasterer how thick his scim was, put the toilet together with waste pipe and did the maths. I did the same with basins etc. Different toilet connectors have slightly different dimensions so get the kit together and measure it.
  6. Mine are about 2m apart on the North outside wall fed by about 1.5m flexible pipes and insulated.
  7. “But” you still need soil that will allow water to soak away, we are on solid clay but we had a ditch that we could use.
  8. @SteamyTea helped me do ours, we went round with joss sticks looking fir draughts.
  9. well done you, architects eh? (Some).
  10. In short sections and packed as you go, I am sure there is a u tube on it. Rising damp is also a controversial issue, some say it does not exist!!, with a French drain and adequate clearance from surrounding land you may not Need one?
  11. if you want a job done properly, do it yourself!
  12. I paid about 3k for mine, not bad and used it as a holiday home till planning came through (after a two year fight), I lived in it myself mostly during the build and for builders “facilities “ for another year. Sold it fir 1k (as it as quite rough by then).
  13. Personally I find injection systems very controversial , I would rather cut a new “proper” damp course in. In my first renovation I did this on a cottage with a brick hand saw, took me ages (I was young, fit and broke then).
  14. yes it’s called EWI. and some parts diy able.
  15. @Moonshine why don’t you start digging foundations (or something) that might get their attention, get a neighbour to report you ?
  16. @LSB says “We have permission to build the cavity wall outside the existing wall, “ so that’s his planners interpretation of part Q, don’t argue the fact!!,!. Ewi sounds the best option to me, no foundations required, then render or clad as you want.
  17. That’s ok but........... All that's required is a soil type suitable for infiltration and a sufficient distance of at least 1 m from the groundwater level.
  18. If I remember correctly mine is 80 litres.
  19. just re read from start (not all of it yet!), So is your flow meter still reading 20?, dash cam pointed at flow meter? To re wind and see if it falls below threshold? (Clutching at straws now!!!).
  20. Trying to think “out of the box” set up a dash cam ?. How often is “once in a blue moon?”. I would have thought a company like LG would take this seriously!, very annoying I am sure.
  21. surely that is a fault that you can demonstrate to LG and ask them to fix?
  22. Is the stream wet/running 365 days a year? If not you need to use a rumble drain.
  23. don’t forget to turn the water main off first , or the isolator if there is one.
  24. I have used that hardener with quite good results.
