Alternative broadband supplier questions
dpmiller replied to ProDave's topic in Networks, AV, Security & Automation
Our road had had fibre run along it as part of the Project Stratum initiative- which is for externally-funded rural FTTP. But I can't get it because there's currently no copper phone line to the house. And the local exchange is apparently now closed to new copper connections... I'll be sticking with the 4g I think. -

big difference between cars and ASHPs, @JohnMo. Car systems are designed to dismantled for maintenance/ repair/ accident damage/ ease of assembly. ASHPS are hermetically sealed, fully brazed, like a domestic fridge.

Just be canny on the control- fridge compressors don't like short-cycling and the normal control strategy with a capillary stat is cut-in at setpoint, chill the coldplate to (say) -10c or so, rinse and repeat. -
the glass phial may be curved or tapered, Zoot.

I went the 50mm EPS route, and found there was no cost difference to go for the premium graphite variety (which is thermally a useful amount better...)

Any way to terminate this Brita 3rd outlet/pipe?
dpmiller replied to JohnBishop's topic in General Plumbing
if it's 8mm pipe, then either an 8mm stop end for the pipe or a plug for the pushfit. If in doubt, remove the pushfit installed for a closer look at it, just in case an 8-6 reducer has been fitted. It's definitely metric tho, as imperial JG fittings are beige. -

Dunno what kind of cars youve been looking at but that aint accurate in my experience- that's 65A you're talking. Cite a source? No, a more resonable guess would be right at the 200w mark, and often much less eg from Spal, a well-known manufacturer to OE and Motorsport https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201955247521
