  1. do you actually need the legionella cycle?
  2. heated rear window repair paint.
  3. I'd be checking for loose terminal screws in the CU. L,N and E...
  4. ... and a home automation system for the lighting @SteamyTea
  5. @iceverge you're talking about something very similar to what World Heat made up for me. I've a 270l store with built-in expansion space, DHW coil, ASHP coil, and direct tappings on the tank for the boiler stove.
  6. Our road had had fibre run along it as part of the Project Stratum initiative- which is for externally-funded rural FTTP. But I can't get it because there's currently no copper phone line to the house. And the local exchange is apparently now closed to new copper connections... I'll be sticking with the 4g I think.
  7. does the current unit have a condenser fan and could it have failed? Undercounter integrated certainly do.
  8. I'm confused. The liner clearly doesn't comply?
  9. does PV work on cold winter nights?
  10. have a look at this on sizing: https://www.stevensonplumbing.co.uk/bspt.html but tell us, how much flow do you actually need and where would you see a restriction cause an issue?
  11. Inch BSP is not inch diameter...
  12. big difference between cars and ASHPs, @JohnMo. Car systems are designed to dismantled for maintenance/ repair/ accident damage/ ease of assembly. ASHPS are hermetically sealed, fully brazed, like a domestic fridge.
  13. Just be canny on the control- fridge compressors don't like short-cycling and the normal control strategy with a capillary stat is cut-in at setpoint, chill the coldplate to (say) -10c or so, rinse and repeat.
  14. the glass phial may be curved or tapered, Zoot.
  15. I went the 50mm EPS route, and found there was no cost difference to go for the premium graphite variety (which is thermally a useful amount better...)
  16. Are you in a Radon risk area?
  17. SBS kit for me.
  18. or run a neat line of silicone in the offending area, to the outside of the blade, to act as a dam.
  19. if it's 8mm pipe, then either an 8mm stop end for the pipe or a plug for the pushfit. If in doubt, remove the pushfit installed for a closer look at it, just in case an 8-6 reducer has been fitted. It's definitely metric tho, as imperial JG fittings are beige.
  20. 8mm OD if it's the same as mine.
  21. they may be talking about commercial ringmains, that often run at far higher temperatures.
  22. how many different phone or cable services has the house had over the years?
  23. you can get special flexible plastic combs with tooth pitch to suit evaporators etc, so you can remove the bulk of the crud mechanically
  24. Dunno what kind of cars youve been looking at but that aint accurate in my experience- that's 65A you're talking. Cite a source? No, a more resonable guess would be right at the 200w mark, and often much less eg from Spal, a well-known manufacturer to OE and Motorsport https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201955247521
