I have a small flat I rent out which has a combi in the kitchen. I'd like to get rid of it but there is nowhere to put a cyllinder. Are there mini ones that could fit into a kitchen cupboard ?

battery / powerwall may be a better option than solar. It allows you to timeshift your grid demand to cheap rate so you allways pay cheap rate whatever time of day it is.

bet the tilers will love that treble handling everything. There goes the bill doubled!!! -
its hard to see from the photo, is the laminate and tiles the same height ? What I did in our utility as the engineered oak and tiles were pretty much same height I got a tube of silicone colour matched to the grout and ran a thin bead. It looks seamless and hasnt caused any issued the last 9 months.

oh he will be getting paid twice. If you look at the warranty cost breakdown it includes site monitoring fees. -

your not paying for extra checks they are the same as BC, just happens many BC firms are in bed with certain warranty companies so do both otherwise you would have 2 blokes come out to check. I believe buildstore dont use any BC so you get 2 visits. -

its to cover the risk to the bank. They are only structural so really its all about the foortings. BC never hang around to see them fully dug and filled and even if they did whos to say they wont move and cause subsidence depite you doing them exactly right to the drawing. The bank now has a loan on a worthless house, the BC company could no way afford to pay out and would go bust leaving you back at square 1. Too much risk for the banks so they make you pay to cover their asses. My second self build i was very very lucky with warranty, I used a company called CRL who were recommended to me by building control. The went bust the month after I sold the property. If I hadn't completed when I did I would have had to have paid for another one as well. BC told me he had sites where there were 20 houses not finished that the builder had to pay out for again. -
someone has pinched half your roof and covered the first floor with floorboards!!! How long the build been going on ?

come back in a year/18 months and let us know! Been there done that never again, at the risk of repeating myself waste of £££££, hassle and grief. You will have plenty of all three on the build anyway wouldnt choose to have more for no reason. -

truss company was one of the easier suppliers to deal with I found. You give them the plan they provide you the truss and fixings to make it work to the drawing and calcs they have done for building control. Get the hatch yourself they cheap. -

Planning issues driveway and access
Dave Jones replied to DeanoFromTheDock's topic in Planning Permission
As long as highways have passed your plans your going to be ok. Tell whoever wants a visit they can, then don't be there. They are there to look only not open a discussion with you. I'd put in writing to head of planning, that should an appeal be necessary then you will be asking for full costs against the coucil as it has allowed a decision maker in the process to furthger a personal grudge showing a lack of impartiality and reasonableness. You are quite within your rights to ask for costs in this case and this normally will sort them out as they do not like it as its a tantamount verdict that they have broken the law. https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/7720/costawardsinplanningappeals.pdf -
