  1. Most of the sites I work on are paying about £20m2 But that with a telehabdler driver bringing ready mix motar and bricks and blocks to them
  2. Perfect Straight onto the ICF with the first coat No mesh needed 48 hours then top coat with a spade of lime in the mix Gives a white wash look
  3. Sand and cement render would seal the blocks and be easy on the pocket Add a bit of lime to the second coat to bring it up nice and white
  4. Also some will tell you included vat But mean they are not vat registered Send a message asking if a vat recipe wll be provided It’s amazing how many sellers aren't vat registered
  5. Unfortunately you can’t spray hardwall You will have to buy projection plaster
  6. Just picked up our local paper Im guessing that the SD holiday will be extended If not I think there will be a real downturn in building and related industries
  7. I can burn Something in the oven Open the door and the extractor drags the smoke in as quick as it comes out
  8. The ceilings are 2.9 and I built the extractor housing to be 1200 off the hob
  9. We used a Gealux extractor Quite pricey but get rid of anything in seconds
  10. We used the multi foil Joists ply multi foil fairing strips Then OSB 3 150 kingspan between the joists Then counter baton board with 15 mil duplex Leaving just enough room for down lights without crying the insulation Seems to work
  11. You will have to put a diagonal slit in from the internal corner and insert a piece and tape it up BC won’t care how much tape you use as long as it is stuck I taped a 600 apron around the edge then ran the membrane up tight
  12. Can someone remind me what is the latest date that I can remove a hedge for access to our plot Wasn’t sure if it was the beginning or end of March
  13. If it’s just moving paper the online solicitors are pretty cheap

    Boiler

Just googled the running costs Almost 5 times as much as gas mains
  15. At the moment there isn’t anyway of quickening things up I was talking to our solicitor about three parcels of land that we are buying and she basically told me It is what it is But added if the stamp duty holiday ends in March Her and other conveyancer workloads will drop dramatically mid Feb So some hope of things quickening up Unless the chancellor extends the SD holiday
  16. Yes A good SE will do this Ours insisted on 4 cube under the Block and beam Running off to a central drain and a flood valve All just in case I thought way over the top at the time He explained that should the plot flood We could end up with the constants of our TP under the house Our SE took it upon himself to include all this in his foundation design So no chance of me or if I’d employed a Ground-worker varying from his design Pictured is me wrestling with 4 cube of concrete in torrential rain Worst day of the build As I thought it was a pointless task
  17. You can use a 50 I stud Total of 70 mil wall finish I’ve used them for splitting toilet stalls (Commercial) Insulated they fall within building regs
  18. It is normal for hokey sticks on the outside When you install the boxes make sure you leave enough room for the tube to pass the render bead and enter the boxes I recently rendered a self build in the Lake District and the service guy chopped two Chanel’s in the render because the pipe was tight against the wall
  19. I’ve just used these at my daughters home They work a treat £27 for 10
  20. Looks nice We still do a lot of wet dashing in the Lake District
  21. Most of the silicone renders are good Monocouche at £15 per bag. Is pricier than K Rend
