Excellenté! I've lived my life doing what they say "can't be done" , so bad that it's cost more than it should but good that you got it in the face of adversity. Tres bien. ?

Tell them to grow a pair and get on with grinding the floor. Use hardboard to make up stands and to protect any delicate areas, then just crack on.

Id have thought they dissolve more every time you fill and run the bath. You have to routinely clean the whirlpool baths anyhoo so id say not to worry. Google will be your friend on this one as Im not a fan of the spa baths just because of the maintenance.

@Lin Pipe should ideally be a Pex Al Pex which is a very robust, aluminium lined pipe ( which my screeders wheel wheelbarrows over and trample on with zero ill effect ). The manifold is an issue, as type should be dependant on your required heat output and the type of heat source, and that criteria will also dictate whether the pipe is laid at 100mm / 150mm or 200mm centres. Its also likely that they won't give any consideration to the peripherals such as 'do you need a buffer' etc. Id ask a few more questions so they become responsible for a) the system performing properly and b) it being compatible with your heat source, eg gas boiler / ASHP / other.

If its going to need patching in lots of different areas then it would be a cruel task. Another option could be to blind the worst areas with 6mm aggregate and let the liquid screed bind into it. Its harder to advise from afar as it isn't an enviable task.

Farrow and Ball paint: is it that much better?

Have they sorted the issue with it smelling awful ( cat pee ) after application ? -
Cut 25mm polystyrene sheets to size with a cheap handsaw ( messy ). Squirt foam on the back. Place on dampened floor. Weigh down for 30 mins. Go to pub ?

Is that undulating over the whole area or thicker one side ? You could get 25mm EPS and bond it down in the thicker areas to reduce cost.

Yup, they could have at least sistered two bits of the smaller trimmer joist together to beef it up -
Don't jest.....I tried to splice my boys Xbox headset cables the other day, they were like bloody hairs I put my sons glasses on and it was like looking at tree trunks, so I guess the glasses-less days are numbered......if only I can get longer arms from somewhere... Those come with different strength lenses?

Thanks for the added clarification ??

Thanks both. Probably good to have a balanced overview to keep the thread healthy, and folk will then have sufficient information to 'shop around'. None exactly like for like then ?

Out of curiosity, which other TF suppliers ( offering a turnkey slab / weathertight & guaranteed airtight shell ) are out there that have been used by members here?

Don't be shy of naming a couple especially if your happy with them ?

Problem is what to do when you get up there. The basket is a very small target to aim for when your falling. .

Busted lol.

Oh dear... @Barney12 Can you remove the panels, fit some 10mm x 75mm aluminium strips where the panel fixing holes are, running from bottom to top with a cranked detail on the end, and fix the panels back down over it. Then from left to right fit another 10mm x 40-50mm flat bar so it runs under the leading edge of the bottom of the flashings, and then fix down through the flashing skirt into the flat bar? Only pain is it'll raise the panels by the thickness of the vertical strips. Could you get something under the pv trays to fix into.......but then I suppose the design of the trays and panel retaining clips negates any through penetration......

Agreed, looks uber smart. This is the last one ( that took my arm ? ). Matt black flush plate, trap and tap to go with pic frames, mirror etc. Not bad considering I tiled that with one arm ?. 750x750mm too. I think we'll see a lot more of the black this year. ?
