Where is the boiler in relation to the problem areas? can you open the lock shield on the problem radiators more and restrict the roads closer to the boiler? or as an experiment, turn a few radiators that are known to be working off to see if the problem radiators get heat.

radiator - no balancing valve but an isolation valve

Look on the positive side at least the pipework has been insulated to keep losses down -
I would look at your contract as that little picture shows a fair old mess, appreciate that you might find difficulty in getting another builder but if you continue down this route what else will they mess up, and you will have spent more money on them and then on further trades to rectifying issues, which is generally destructive work. Best to get it right the first time.

Good luck, ask a few mates for help easier with a few bodies.. hire a vibrating poker, gets the air out the concrete, turns it from an aero bar consistently to a solid chocolate foundation of goodness -

Insulating suspended floor from below - VCL?
TonyT replied to andyscotland's topic in Heat Insulation
Mine is similar except it’s 100 year older and 600mm stone. no issues in 10 plus years, have been down a few times to alter pipes, cabling and it’s dry as a bone -
Insulating suspended floor from below - VCL?
TonyT replied to andyscotland's topic in Heat Insulation
I just squished in friction fit ROCKWOOL in 2 staggered layers, didn’t add any membrane due to pipes, cables and having to lie on my back to fit insulation. better than what it was! -

I agree but if you needed to lift a panel out for repair you would need the slack?

I would make changes slowly, and document the changes in a diary to let you see what works, recording as much data as possible we do this in commercial set ups with Building Management Systems controlling heating and ventilation systems.

Let your local councillor know that you are concerned about sewerage escaping from the manholes, sometimes helps to let them get reports from multiple directions!

Now days it’s progress meetings followed by technical meetings all minuted. so every arse covering move is done by email to ensure rectus protectus All conversations turned into file notes and email over to design team and main contractor. Drawings downloaded and uploaded on some portal that you can see who does what and when. god it was easy when all I had to do was print out a fax transmission report and staple it to the fax drawing you just drew out and file it a box folder…..
-
We used to keep it short and accept work as per drawing number Rev 2 dated ……… So issue a drawing with a drawing number and get the quote accepted that way with a specification on materials and workmanship always best to have a discussion first, saves an argument later.
