  1. Sure the one I worked on went in before Windows and doors.
  2. Really?!
  3. That gypsum based stuff which gets done at 50mm is Bombproof. Have worked ontop of it before
  4. Also if blockwork 300mm works guage. Just a thought
  5. Sounds good throw some pics up or start a blog if you get time
  6. 15mm on ceilings in current place but thats for other reasons than sound
  7. I'm sure MR boards aren't supposed to take a skim. I've never used anything other than acoustic or wallboard (skimmed) in a bathroom and never had any issues with sagging or the board breaking down before. Happy to be told i'm wrong but suspect its for tape and filled jobs where board choice is more critical
  8. What finish are you having skim? I didn't think MR boards were designed to be skimmed over? If you read the MI's @nod ?
  9. I think you would keep on same raft to simplify. The eps is probably cheap I'd guess it's the prep and the technical which costs. Maybe a break in the conc of some kind where it joins house
  10. Might be a pumpable mix but be suprised if that price includes pump?
  11. Interest collection of posts linked above cheers
  12. No you have a stop tap externally where the meter is too
  13. Will you create a service cavity inside? What's your wall build up.
  14. They've changed recently. Will now accept an end cap both inside and outside. Saves messing about with plumbing fittings if you're not confident like me.
  15. Reject it
  16. What did you do in end @oranjeboom
  17. I think the ducting is just a different colour so they know to charge you more! Worked on me
  18. @ProDave sometimes a tenner on pay pal for an item worth a few hundred quid you don't want sold out from under you does the job. Time and a place though
  19. Next time pay pal them or bacs a small depo
  20. Unsure how this works really. Usually founds deeper than 1500 or if making up ground of over 500mm (I think) bco's want suspended floors unless otherwise agreed. Does eps count as making up probably not. Also probably cheaper than stone. What's to stop 225mm stone and 450mm eps for instance?
  21. I did. Again, probably got hoodwinked but thought that's the part you can't change when in
  22. A decent advisor should have been on the ball and made this one of the first questions he asked you before you shelled out 2.5k in fees. Anyone who's bought one of mine previously I make sure they know it's arc cert and I see their mortgage approval with suitable lender before the sold board goes up.
  23. Never heard of most of the banks which accept a.c. what complete hyperbole. He's obviously useless at his job I would suggest I can do it better than him.
  24. Architects certificate perfectly mortgageable. I've sold a number of new builds with them. If you look the CML guidebook you will find about 95% of lenders accept them. As nod says hsbc and a few others don't but majority do. Your architect has to me RIBA and ARB.
  25. Can telehandlers shift cabins what's empty weight?
