  1. metal based or not, it's the friction of the powder in the tube that causes problems. /it's a long time since I sat my ATEX certification but I'll never underestimate the risks of moving dusts, just as @Onoff describes.
  2. that's why we read the instructions too!
  3. So they're parking upon your private land at times?
  4. I'm reading it that same way. In AD F1 (2012) "SAP – the Government s Standard Assessment Procedure for Energy Rating of Dwellings: 2009 edition, or any later edition approved by the Department." But no confirmation that any later edition was so approved is obvious
  5. Actually, I've got a question... Are we still meant to be using 2009 in NI rather than 2012?
  6. That's useful, ta.
  7. As I'm currently faffing about with FSAP2012 to do the "as designed" for ours, this is timely. Keep me posted please.
  8. I'm pretty sure their lab/industrial washers do have such information attached.
  9. I'm very surprised there's no label with the serial no. on the outside of the packaging. Thought it was de rigueur these days.
  10. I was only asked to bleed it following an outage and when diagnosed it was handier to get her to call the local OFTEC guy as he's at the far end of the estate and I was away working the next day anyway. We both use the same trade outlet.
  11. Ah... hang on a mo. Is this a Riello burner? If so my neighbour just had this happen. Oilpump. Would make pressure on purge, but as soon as the solenoid opens pressure drops to zero. Brief puff of flame then nothing. I opened the pump and it was full of glittery bits.
  12. papier mache was the old way of dealing with this kinda thing?
  13. Is it going into lockout (red light on?)if it's only running for a few secs and the boiler is defintely cold I'd definitely look at the photocell. If the boiler is hot then I might consider the pump...
  14. They do, yes. Quote request sent.
  15. Whilst a powerful enough laser might well burst a balloon, my point was that the laser aint part of the IR measuring system...
  16. laser's nothing to do with it, it's only a sight.
  17. On top of a flat roof? http://www.pluginsolar.co.uk/?product=plug-in-solar-4kw-4000w-diy-solar-power-kit-with-renusol-console-tubs-for-ground-or-flat-roof edit : @JSHarris beat me to it.
  18. apply some black magic marker or the like to the pipe (or the shiny PHE) first, as clean copper doesn't give a good reading.
  19. Spotted this as a new item in BES might be handy for this kind of app. https://www.bes.co.uk/flat-faced-angled-isolation-valve-15mm-x-1-2-bsp-pm-23571
  20. Not as yet. Kinda put off by the amount of negative press they get tbh.
  21. just for a comparative pricepoint, we're looking at roughly 35m2 including composite front door, sizeable multipanel front windows, and a set of french doors, over 16 openings. Supply and fit 70mm UPVC wih foiled exterior and units in 4/20/4 DG with warm edge and low-E, we're looking between £170 and £200/m2
  22. ^ the latest one without the green cladding is stronger.
  23. I just see this: " Sorry, we can't show this content because you do not have permission to see it. "
  24. I'd agree with this. You'd really want to be able to lock out the feedback while doing duct balancing.
