  1. Toolstation branches have a free tea / coffee / soup machine which probably helps! Quite partial to the Lipton lemon tea myself. Those x10 rubble bags they do behind the counter btw are shoite. Might as well sell them open at both ends.
  2. I'd use 22mm P5 all day long over OSB for a floor.
  3. Under a patio it won't be permeable that's for sure.
  4. Playing Devil's advocate.....is the filter material flammable? Thinking fire embers blown in. Or is there a (metal) gauze to get through first?
  5. Ref MVHR intakes.....what happens if: The fresh air intake is downwind of say muck spreading, a neighbour (or you) emptying their cess pool or a bonfire / adjacent house fire Presumably things get very stinky/smokey pretty quickly. During the day I guess you shut the system down. I appreciate there are filters but down to what level? But at night? Could it get to the point that smokes in the house would go off?
  6. Just wait until CrApple buys Tesla. They'll make the tiles the must have product for the masses and charge through the nose for it. You'll only be able to get the spares from them etc: http://fortune.com/2017/05/10/an-apple-analysts-view-of-tesla/
  7. Some pointers maybe: https://www.pvccladding.com/guides-and-tips/fascia-installations/installation-and-maintenance/upvc-roofline-installation-pdf/
  8. +1..... and that's coming from ME!
  9. I think you'll find the "cover" you're refering to is called a bean bag!
  10. Sitting in the cheap seats here. Coffee comes in a jar.
  11. I do have an old MTD ride on lawn mower.....
  12. Has that not maybe been Venetian plastered? Can't really tell but it would look the dog's danglies! Not so sure it would be a good work surface though.
  13. Plenty have done it. Quite like this 4wd red neck jobbie:
  14. I'll start another thread so as not to detract from @Carrerahill's!

    Hornbeam's lovely.
  16. Ooh! What I'd never get around to doing with a digger.....

    GRP roof

My nephew GRP'd his large, porch flat roof. First attempt and I don't think he'd mind me saying.....made a complete ****of it!
  19. I was, years back directly involved in the importing and CE marking of equipment from "Down Under". The Machinery Directive came into it. As I recall (memory's getting vaguer by the day) I had to submit the supplier's Technical File together with their Declaration of Conformity (to our BS EN standards). There was also I think a Certificate of Incorporation that I had to do that listed the foreign stuff together with EU sourced parts. This all went to an Approved Body and we paid about a grand per project as they were all different. They lodged it for 10 Years. Nobody as far as I know ever looked at all the calcs etc. Had CE stickers made by a local vinyl print shop. Think I just said ""Like on the back of a calculator". Oddly enough when I made contact with the Approved Body wondering what happened as the 10 years was now up they just said they would continue to hold the documentation ad infinitum, without charge!
  20. Hence my highlighting the C & E!
  21. So sad isn't it. The kit might in fact be fine but when the discerning buyer sees that inattention to detail you can't help but worry it's carrried through to the actual kit.
  22. Chinese Equipment. Chinglish instructions!
  23. So you've tried going off piste, got a few samples and on a number of fronts they fall down. You have reservations as does your sparks. A wise man once said: "You'll be wishing you fitted good old MK when it comes to replacing the odd one a few years down the line! "
  24. Pretty sure that @Nickfromwales looked at my situation and reckoned that the temperatures for towel trying were available.
