  1. @joe90 any ideas? This is definitely one which @Jeremy Harris could have helped with.
  2. Unfortunately the service manual doesn’t offer much of use either: Check cables check Inverter board
  3. If it’s an OS map that you think has been edited, might be worth letting OS know. They are very protective of their assets.
  4. Haha... I wonder how many of us are doing exactly this!
  5. yeah I think it can make it look quite professional, rather than average.
  6. The second option, with the trim, looks better to me. Although, thinking about it, won’t you want something visual to show where the step is, otherwise people will keep tripping up it? maybe something like this?
  7. The closest our planners did to checking was driving by (and they would see anything from the road). In my experience, the planners only care if someone complains.
  8. ? sometimes we miss the obvious when we are in the middle of the situation. Or we make things more complicated than they need to be.
  9. Cover them now. Uncover them tomorrow.
  10. Does it have to go all the way to the ceiling? Could you step it back above the boiler? (A bit like a Welsh dresser). It might not be so imposing then.
  11. Are you dragging down on the key when you are typing? Press don’t drag.
  12. @pocster has experience of cutting them out with a dremmel. So maybe ask him how not to do it?!?

    Ah bum !

No fecking way I’m heading down that rabbit hole again!
  14. Haha.. I don’t have the strength.
  15. Possibly, but in most cases it’s better to finish before dying of old age... I feel @pocsters and you bathrooms are both going to take longer than the coliseum to build!
  16. Ssshhhh don’t add to the list of jobs... I’m getting fed up with the never ending saga... god knows how he’s coping!
  17. When you say materials, does that include the tiles, grout, bath, taps etc? or do you mean it’s £700-£1000 for labour, plus the materials cost on top?
  18. Wow!!! Now there’s a job that’s been left to the apprentice!
  19. Hi, it’s refreshing to hear about something different from the norm. @pocster now has a fellow troglodyte on the forum! ... although at least this one is habitable. Ive always loved the idea of having a bunker for a home. I’ve only seen ex-government ones which have either been taken on for commercial uses or for growing weed. Do they come up for sale very often?
  20. And I bet you’ve been to Elevenerife too.
  21. Funnily enough the name on the gate really suits it... No, I don’t mean “Danger of Death, Keep Out”, or “Don’t feed the animals” . Although both I think would be very apt.
  22. Nice to have the choice... toward the end of the build you will have spent all your savings, max’d your credit card, sold your nice car, and deciding if you want the weeks shopping or that fancy bath plug! ?
  23. I only ever order from Amazon if it’s Prime. And to be fair they have been spot on. Sometimes delivered same day. Any time I used a 3rd party seller, they seem to be acting as intermediaries for Chinese sellers. If on eBay, i always check if they are uk based by checking if their PayPal account is uk based.
  24. Nice... you don’t realise the size of the room until you know the tiles are 1.2m each!
