Wow! Looks impressive. ? Dusting will be challenging ? So probably noting hanging that collects dust and cobwebs? how about concealed led strip lights?

Is that “normal” for all pan connectors... there’s always some “stuff” lingering when you remove an old toilet. ?

I’ve got the same underlay (arriba arriba - that’s for you @Onoff) fitted a couple of years ago, and I must say that I haven’t ever experienced the condition you are suffering. It sounds like the other underlay you have in the other room is the cheaper foam type... not that I would expect either to cause discomfort. Do you suffer the same on any hard floors?

Maybe my previous explanation wasn’t very clear. I am planning on installing an outdoor shower, primarily as a dog wash, but could also be used in the warmer summer months (like after swimming in pond/pool). I had originally planned on a location to place it based on hot and cold water nearby (next to the house). However the location isn’t ideal, so probably the reason I hadn’t cracked on and done the job. I then thought that if I could have an alternative means to heating the water then I could locate it where I have other cold water feeds (near the bottom of the garden). Hence wondering if it’s possible to use an electric shower outdoors.

Does Julius have any advice as to whether one could use an electric shower outdoors?
-
Because I am thinking about putting it in a different (better) location which isn’t anywhere near the house (hot water).
-
I would completely agree with this... based on my experience, bathroom and en-suite, 2 adults 1 child, we have a 250L cylinder and is fine until we have guests... then we have to plan our showering around reheating time.

Ooo I do like! Are they easy to keep clean or do you need to be out mopping and vacuuming them to keep em looking good?

After a great deal of procrastination I was about to get stuck into doing the outdoor shower... then I thought up an excuse to delay it a bit longer... The previous location I was thinking of would have been good for getting hot water, but not the best position for a shower area. I have water (cold only) and power further out in the garden.... So I was thinking, could I have an electric shower outdoors? Wouldn’t need to be a big kw one as it will just be for the dog wash, and occasional use in the summer. Any comments?

Crikey I bet it’s tropical in there any time the sun shows it’s face! I’d be tempted to replace the roof with a “proper” roof, rather than glass or polycarbonate. A quick google search would give you some ideas like this https://www.eygwindows.co.uk/lifestyle-blog/is-a-conservatory-roof-replacement-worth-the-cost -
I was more just thinking about a buffer tank for an ASHP and UFH (Like @joe90 has)... how do you size that? I have been entertaining the idea of adding one, depending on how big it would need to be. The addition of pv is for when I have some more spare cash than I currently have!
-
How do you size a buffer tank? When does it become oversized?

Or just get up to date with a mesh WiFi system. £100 and I have coverage everywhere in the house (lots of old thick stone walls) and the complete garden (approx 500m2). No noticeable drop in speed (less than 1mbps difference between bottom of garden WiFi and Lan connected laptop to router).

All your cctv is paying dividends now isn’t it! ?

What is going on with the ski jump bog!?? love that back wall by the way

It’s probably worth dropping into b&q or some other show room and sit in the different width baths. We put a 750 in and now only my daughter uses it as it feels too small to be luxurious.
-
Time to create a mock up.... to see how much of your width you can comfortably use without affecting your toileting.
-
To be fair, I’m not the racing snake that I was at one time ?
-
750 is very narrow to sit in.

Looks like 2 in the photo above

Ditto... I have a matching pair (bathroom & ensuite). Been like it for 2.5 years so far ?

I’ve got the same light above our bathroom mirror too! ?
