That maybe because you’ve turned it down to 20 degrees. It will take a while to up the temp and it’s kind of iterative. It heats the return up a small amount at a time. So could take hours to get the circuit up to 35 degrees if the UFH is is taking all the heat out of the system to get up to its operational temp. keep the thermostats calling for heat and leave it running over night. Assuming the UFH manifold is set up right, the house should be warm by morning.

Do you have flow around the UFH circuits? Meaning can you see the flow regs on the manifold moving up when it’s turned on? That amount of defrosting is concerning. Mine rarely defrosts and it’s working pretty hard as it’s too small for the demand. I’d run it at about 35 and then see. Have you checked the blending valve on the UFH manifold? Make sure that’s not turned right down.

Good luck! He sounds like a complete plank! ?? -
Have you got thermometers on the UFH manifold? You can see flow and return temps? If not can you at least feel it’s warmer on the flow side? Have you got your flow regs opened and at actuators open?

Not knowing anything about this kind of thing, there would be 3 key points that I can see that I don’t like... here is my high text graphic to show where I’m taking about 1. These flexis should be in copper. Just lazy. Or if they need to be flexis then fit ones the right length. 2. The white pipe I assume is to the drinking water? Why is the pipe not cut to length? 3. I guess this is the pipe to the tap. It needs planning and re-routing. -

Does anyone else think that all those flexis into that valve unit thing should actually be copper? Seems lazy even by my standards. -

I second this... you can see why it won’t reach from your earlier photos. The flexi pipe to the bulb is coming forward out of the unit before heading to the back of the cupboard and up to the tap... needs completely rerouting. -
As @ProDave said, maybe he’ll be happy that it’s less likely to be nicked.

Not ideal, but One way of reducing it is by having single occupancy discount. You register yourself there and then you switch to single occupancy discount on your house too as only your other half is there. ? -
I’d assumed that was the case... can’t believe £12 per 50 hrs... that’s mental!
-
Just interested in they why’s and wherefore’s. ... although, online you never know who you are talking to! ?

Are you tiling under the bath? Has that been left clear for any particular reason? (Like being able to reach it without standing on recently laid tiles?)

Hope so because even that show tray looks like it’s had a visit from the bukaki train.

I wonder if they will deliver one to Bristol for the holidays?!! I don’t need one, but I could think up some jobs to do?
-
That’s a cracking deal! ... if you actually need a digger that is!

Get a job... idle hands and all that! Haven’t you got a million Londoners to feed following their exodus?! -
This is the only door I have this way round... because I wanted it opening outwards (it’s a small en-suite). So I see this as the ‘wrong way round’. My other doors are the more conventional way round... like this...

Just enjoy it! ... without thinking about all the little jobs that are left. -

For me finished = 95% done... the rest you live with as is. ? -
Looking good. However, again with adhesive everywhere! Your porn film bathroom already looks like it’s had a day of heavy filming!

Every photo you post you have stacks of ‘stuff’ everywhere. No wonder it take you so long to get the job done, you must be constantly moving stuff.

Kingspan aeromax plus - flashing code 14?
Gav_P replied to RossG21's topic in Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP)
Makes sense to me. Not that I know anything about anything. mine has been running for 20 minutes now and is still cool to the touch. ... so definitely an area to investigate. If it were me, I would find a friendly a/c engineer and ask them to take a peek at it. They will know straight away, even if they haven’t worked on a kingspan/carrier/glow worm variant air to water heat pump. -

That’s a lot louder than mine too.
