Photos? What type of grease?

B and Q Valspar could not accurately match a dark blue cupboard door for me - the scan was miles off - 3 attempts later and 3 wasted match pots that I refused to pay for, I matched it using the charts and it is pretty much bang on - so my advice would get them to do a match pot to test before you commit. I used Tikkurila Anti Reflex 2 on all of my ceilings and I cannot recommend it highly enough. I have also recently used some of the Wickes own brand tough and washable paint - it is very good and great value.

Sorry haven't read through the whole post, so may be repeating other comments. I wouldn't be surprised if your Fridge Freezer doors hit the oven handles - a lot of people under estimate the amount of space the doors require to open fully.

Hi @Susie It worked fine, but make sure your measurements are bang on. Wozza.

Vaillant Gas Boiler - Rads and UFH - Expansion Tank
wozza replied to wozza's topic in Underfloor Heating
Turns out that is was the expansion tank (only a small leak though as there wasn't much water in it), and the pressure switch was sticking - both replaced and working like it should. -
Hi All, We had UFH fitted to our existing heating system around three years ago. AT the time I asked the installer if we needed an expansion vessel and he said nope you should be ok - I questioned him again a few times to be told no, it should be fine - so we never fitted one, even though lots of people on here said we should have one. 3 years later and all has been fine until today. I fired up the heating for the first time since March - everything was working ok - Rads got warm, UFH all working and warm - I then checked the boiler and we had suffered a small leak of water from inside the boiler - I estimate around a cup full, and no more has leaked out - heating still working fine. I then noticed that the system was running at 2.1 bar - it used to run at around 1.6 to 1.7. So I drained off some water to reduce the pressure but anything lower than 1.9 bar and the boiler stops working and displays an F75 fault. I have topped the system back up to 2.1 bar the the fault has reset and everything works great. The boiler is a Vaillant Ecotec Plus 831 and it was fitted in 2010 and it has never missed a beat - we have 9 rads and 6 UFH loops - I have an engineer booked to come and look but thought I would ask the brainiacs here if a few questions so I could be better armed. Do you think the boilers expansion tank is knackered? Do I need an extra expansion tank? If so then how do I size it and can it be fitted anywhere on the return? If I do need an expansion tank, does anyone have any suggestions for a wall mounted one Thanks all, Wozza.

Screw Pops - Ceiling worse than before decorator started
wozza replied to canalsiderenovation's topic in Decorating
The Screw pops will be due to movement (expansion / contraction) or impact - what do you think that the decorator could have possibly done to make previously un popped screws pop? -
As others have said it nigh on impossible to get perfect but I also highly rate Tikkurila Anti Reflex 2 - I have used it on all my celings.

Cant comment on that door. I spoke to these people about an unfinished Oak Bifold door to fit a 820 mm opening, but have yet to do anything else. Made to Measure Oak Mexicano Bifold Door | Savoy Timber

We have 1200 x 1200 x 7mm - two people required to lay them. We laid ours on Ditra. Normal suction lifters may not work if tiles have a texture. Expansion joints in every doorway and across a large opening due to the size of the area. Definitely use a levelling system. We also used the tiles as skirting.

What spacing are your joists - 18mm is fine for 450mm or less, 22mm if wider or if you want a more solid feel.

I have wifi 6, should I wait for wifi 6 speakers?
wozza replied to Adsibob's topic in Networks, AV, Security & Automation
Sonos stuff wont connect to wifi repeaters and it will only connect to 2.4ghz networks As has already been said - Richer Sounds and Smart Home Sounds are usually the best two retailers for Sonos, I have purchased from both without issues. The Arc sounds great with a pair of ones and a sub. -

flush mounting sinks, hobs - pros cons?
wozza replied to puntloos's topic in Kitchen Units & Worktops
We have a Bora hob that is flush mounted into the quartz worktop - the 2mm expansion gap is filled with black silicone - no issues. -
Which appliances for kitchen
wozza replied to Coffeepotclaire's topic in Kitchen & Household Appliances
Last year we had two Siemens Studioline ovens (one pyro with microwave, one steam with Eco) and a Studioline dishwasher. We had a good price from one supplier - then found someone who gave us an even better deal (I can PM details if you want) -
We have been using a couple of Bake O Glide hob protectors on our Bora hob (one each side) - after over twelve months of daily use it has virtually no marks. The Bake O Glide protectors are a perfect size and they have silicon edges - people think they are part of the hob.

How to 'option in' home automation in future?
wozza replied to Andehh's topic in Networks, AV, Security & Automation
I have used Shelly Wifi Dimmers for my lights - does pretty much everything I want. Definitely worth a look and not expensive.
