  1. very interesting, and pretty much as i suspected BUT did it make your towels nice and warm for when you needed to use them?
  2. I usually laugh at the idea of buying silver line/faithfull/einhell products for professional use, But in fairness i did buy a silver line airline first fix nail gun in as a last resort and it has been annoyingly very good..... makes me winder why i just bought a nice new (ex demo) paslode second fix.
  3. I'm sure this has been discussed before but has anyone tried running their UFH through a towel rad style setup? obviously with a bleed valve at the highest point
  4. Im blaming the hair....... hairs retains much more moisture than guts
  5. Possibly, but it is great at wiping the curved shower screen, it is obviously not great at drying hair, i will try wiping faye down with it and see how much difference it makes on her considerably less hairy body ... I will leave the rest of the quote to everyone else
  6. results from tonights shower. Faye's towel weight before : 634g after: 663g Ed's towel weight: before: 504 after: 557 things to be considered, Faye didn't wash her hair ( i will get results for this tomorrow) whereas I did. I wiped myself down in the shower whereas Faye didn't. my towel was a lot warmer, fluffier and smaller than Faye's (doubt any of these make much difference but they were observations i made) I have got a LOT more hair not on my head than Faye has
  7. shhhh, It was sounding promising up until then
  8. Interesting...... so next question, has anyone who does have UFH in the bathroom tried any kind of low level or floor utilising towel drying methods??
  9. before i ask my next question, are these troublesome wet mats in rooms with UFH?
  10. gimme an hour and i will try to remember to weigh both our towels
  11. you guys need one of these, we use it to wipe down our curved shower screen but it also does a decent job on me http://www.ebuild.co.uk/topic/15422-condensing-fluffy-towel-dryer/page__hl__%2Bfluffy+%2Btowel
  12. Iv been wearing some snickers ones for best part of a year now and they are holding out well. previous cheaper ones always seem to "deflate" after a few months, http://www.sibbons.co.uk/product/6098/0//f3b51237e8e4a7a95dfe92783b29c161?gclid=CjwKEAjwzKPGBRCS55Oe46q9hCkSJAAMvVuMU-PiOwRMaZF1PUj03kGPe0swxw7E1SLLwuzmUo32zRoCsZHw_wcB If anyone else has an opinion on these more expensive ones i would be keen to hear it. are they really twice as good???? http://www.hall-fast.com/safety-at-work/workwear/snickers/snickers-accessories/snickers-9191-xtr-d3o-kneepads/?gspid=116387&infinity=ict2~net~gaw~ar~79294099048~kw~~mt~~cmp~Storage and Shelving Shopping~ag~SS Storage Racks&gclid=CjwKEAjwzKPGBRCS55Oe46q9hCkSJAAMvVuMpdOayGHSPB1Q35Fp7_G9Biz1PMXSfH0A2JkEpk4UwRoCzbrw_wcB#.WMmzgbGcZTY
  13. it is easier to keep the cuts square on thinner boards. but that is the only reason i can think of. unless you are using a table saw which will have to be very big to cut 140mm and no its not acceptable, possibly if they had used a few larger off cuts just to fill the last few studs but those 25mm strips really are taking the piss.
  14. not the most thrilling of videos but it all needs documenting
  15. I have used them before (accidentally) and TBF the 2 missing items were remedied without question so i shouldn't really slate them, BUT my preferred company is BP plastics http://www.plasticdrainage.co.uk because they are localish and as they were the first people i ordered from so i don't see a reason to be disloyal. This is where the "accidentally" part comes in I wanted some additional bits so googled Bp drainage, clicked the top link, ordered the bits i wanted, took delivery of all but 2 items and waited for the second delivery, It took longer than i thought so i phoned the Bp plastics number i already had on my phone and asked when they were coming, That is when i found out that plastic express are paying to be above Bp plastics in the search ratings, even if you specifically search "BP Plastics" and i was not the first person to phone BP up and query an order from PE. Im sure its just the way business works but i thought it was a bit underhanded, So because of this I now hold a small grudge against Plastic express. Nothing on the scale of screw fix but enough for me to mention it and push others towards http://www.plasticdrainage.co.uk the real BP plastics. HTH Ed
  16. Sorry guys Iv Just got back from Bulgaria and I am in no fit state to do much. That makita looks to be a decent price but also looks a bit flimsy IMHO. we use an older 110v volt version of this for work and i have been very impressed with the build quality, https://www.its.co.uk/pd/MLT100X-Makita-Table-Saw-with-Stand-_MAKMLT100X.htm?gclid=CjwKEAiA3NTFBRDKheuO6IG43VQSJAA74F77TuGAy8PLMjs1D3OLfEBYj8DmDeTL-fv9PnyiHIiMwBoCY7jw_wcB I suppose it all depends how much you are planning to move it around. Edit: Looks like this is the actual model......possibly a bit on the pricey side.... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Makita-2704-110v-260mm-Table-Saw-/351926088792?hash=item51f06df458:g:uCQAAOSw2xRYV~j7
  17. ours at work went over as well. The apprentice wasn't happy about cleaning that one up
  18. does anyone remember that i had made a big tent on the end of my barn to lay bricks under that managed to survive the last 3 storms perfectly fine? Well it didn't this time, Smashed a decent sized hole in the asbestos barn next to it and snapped a bunch of the legs holding it up. it was great fun trying to dismantle it when i got home from work, while Doris was still trying her hardest to piss me off, in twilight.... Oh and a bunch of my felt is now flapping in the wind, Its too dark to do anything about now and I'm leaving for the airport tomorrow at 04:00 I think its safe to say I will not be naming any of my children Doris!!
  19. I don't like the look of that really loose fitting, but i couldn't tell you why it is so loose??????? Now you just need an intro and outro
  20. These are what I am going to call batch 1.0. They now have a 6mm stamp and an inch cut off the back. and i scooped a "frog" out of the back with a big hole saw
