Hi everyone. Probably a consumer rights question but it's about flooring so I'm asking here. Our customer has ordered some flooring from an unknown company (I can find that out later) and they have sent a very different coloured product we wanted the small light colour. He has sent the dark grey colour. The customer has spoken to the supplier and they are claiming there is nothing they can do and we were warned that there might be some "colour variation" they are are offering to take it back and only will only give a 40% refund. Any ideas? The boards are not even close to the same colour and obviously not what the customer wants?? TIA ED

Probably best to get some coffee and green tea as well. Possibly some biscuits. My suggestion would be milk chocolate hobnobs. ?

it is easier when you haven't got them all in . Happy days though, Whats next on the list? Edit
-
short answer is no, best way i found is with a wallpaper scraper or a pair of them, and hammer it into the joint, don't twist it, just work your way down until you have a gap all the way down then gently twist it at one of the ends, drop of Wd40 might help but i have never tired that, If anyone else does know an easier (less likely to do any damage) way i am all ears.

it would be a shame to turn that into wedges. mine are made from off cuts, i didn't just go and butcher a decent chunk of walnut to get them! what about milling them out of ali? you still got access to the mill?
-
we haven't got time for that, There is procrastination to be discussed
-
as sad as it sounds i have got a few choice oak wedges i am rather fond of, whats the grain like on the walnut? has it got a nice straight bit?

if you made them out of stainless they would last forever.....

FWIW we usually foam ours after we have glazed them but i don't think that is for any real reason, You are not going to bend a 1m long leg with expanding foam, i don't care how much you try (no cheating and sealing it in), if you want to fill the sill with foam (i get a feeling you do) I can't see it causing an issue, just don't seal it in, let it come out the ends and cut it off after, otherwise just do as everyone else has said and fit the bloody window! I am dreading the day you ask about toeing and heeling a door.....

Does your friend use "Schaeffers deck sealant"?
-
Whatever you decided make sure you treat it properly to prolong the life of your deck. I recommend Schaeffers deck sealant.
