  1. How much does it cost to park 1 van outside per day? Times every subcontractor that’s bound to add up!
  2. It’s outside traditional cable zones, so either earthed metal conduit or cable with a metallic sheath..
  3. I manage a building that has a copper roof, some of the water is diverted to a water butt, and the staff brush the monoblock drive and wet it with this water. No algae. just get some off cuts of copper pipe and throw them in the water butt, and do the same.
  4. The A is the switched live/line going to the light fitting.
  5. Yes, as the fire alarm would have to be serviced twice a year. The aico needs testing by pressing a button
  6. Get some string, tie a plastic bag to it. stuff it down the pipe. go to the other end, put hoover in pipe and suck string through duct then pull in larger diameter rope
  7. 21 years ago we were using red and black cabling, this doesn’t make it unsafe. just needs a sticker on the fuseboard metal fuseboard
  8. don’t have MCB’s
  9. Lighting controller at work just gone faulty, all lights on full 100%.. 7 days and still waiting for a Lu@@@n engineer to come to site. I wish we had a light switch.
  10. Discuss with EPA/SEPA/ Local Authority. best get their input
  11. How did you install pipework? did you use a decoiler?
  12. Doff https://www.concreterenovations.co.uk/news/a-brief-guide-to-doff-cleaning/
  13. As per previous reply. Doff..
  14. A2A. Air to Air- like air conditioning ashp- air source heat pump
  15. That’s true, so you would turn the breaker off and let them try and get generation figures see how long they kept the FIT.
  16. You need a heat loss calculation for each room to let you know what size radiators you can install.
  17. Screw fix sell silicone remover, applied over existing, softens it and makes it easier to remove. they also sell curved tools for smoothing the silicone can’t remember but have a look in the tiling section. just make sure you have plenty baby wipes to clean up!
  18. 100mm
  19. What’s the budget? doing diy or builder route? Looks like a nice big basement / underfloor area at least at the front!
  20. probably a nice single phase consumer unit for the house, more cost effective a small 3 phase consumer unit for the EV charger at the kiosk. Lots of opinions but I think ensuring you have sufficient sized ducts from kiosk to house, kiosk to garage, kiosk to EV position, etc is worthwhile. We always used 100mm flexiducts with blue rope added in prior to backfilling.
  21. You need to advise on earthing arrangement. tncs? significant electrical loads to work out current consumption. distance to house consumer unit. size of kiosk? helpful if distribution equipment is going in there too along with EV distribution equipment-
  22. Demolition asbestos survey would be a good should to get samples taken if in any doubt… peace of mind for you and trades while renovating
