  1. Probably better not to have full depth noggins/dwangs in as you are only getting airflow from outside air to them, beyond then there will be no air movement.
  2. I just used a 1m long sds bit and drilled down
  3. My last house had this, hadn’t seen it before but it was fun getting cabling down the wall.
  4. Bury pipe to required depth in trench insulate pipe from bottom of trench to inside house. climaflex insulation is pretty much available everywhere
  5. You could insulate.then put vapour barrier up then put 50x50 battens at 90deg to existing timber then plasterboard new leds cut out but make sure they are shallow so not damaging vapour barrier/insulation.
  6. Kris Harbour on you tube has begun 3d printing these. He lives off grid with initially hydro and added solar and homemade wind turbine. he’s started a business selling equipment based on his own experience. lives in the middle of no where and builds everything himself, former lift engineer who turned his back on the 9-5 life
  7. What about a pressure switch, operating when the tap is opened?
  8. Add more PV and another inverter independent of the original FIT install.
  9. Build a cylinder stool? like old airing cupboards?
  10. Forget about this in insulated slabs its used for other reasons generally not domestic so everyone can relax.
  11. At my desk
  12. How many people are available?
  13. You then inform the DNO once and only once and let them change the meter in due course.
  14. Best take an insulation resistance tester to check the cable before buying or get the seller to do a test and video the results
  15. I have a spinning disk meter and get FIT payments have done since 2011. no requirement to fit ‘smart’ meter
  16. Rebar makes an excellent earth conductor so in a non insulated slab it can save time/effort later on… particularly if you are trying to achieve 1 ohm for instance. handy if you can’t export PME earth too
  17. I was meaning carbon monoxide and heat in a combined unit.
  18. The spec mentions carbon dioxide… you are looking for carbon monoxide..
  19. Sorry mate the spec is wrong
  20. Carbon monoxide is what you are looking for not dioxide.. aico do a neat unit combined with heat.
  21. BC5L? everbuild acid ?
  22. Possibly a cut copy paste specification….
  23. So if it wasn’t insulated, let’s say a cow milking shed with animals that are large and wet.., you would need to ensure some of the rebar was welded together rather than tied, helps improve overall resistance . not sure of the benefit in a standard house.
  24. Acccciddd. or splash the cash on doff cleaning.
  25. Wet and forget is a selective herbicide so good for algae. Etc but that’s not what you have on the wall.. get the acid on And then washed off
