  1. Blob of silicone.
  2. Even I'm quicker than that! ?
  3. Continuing my mate's wall hung wc adventures! He bought a no name, rimless wc. Allegedly made in the UK. I'm sure there is a name on it or the box but he says not just that it comes from "the Old Kent Road". I reckon that's just the seller/importer. He said he tried to fit the first wc pan but that the hole centres are closer than the 180mm on the Geberit frame: To me it looks like the pan could move slightly left but he reckons the studs are on the pi$$. Bottom line is he rang the company who said they've never had an issue or one come back but they've sent him an exchange unit out. Will find out today where he is with it. (Can't see that they won't all have been made on the same tooling). He made the mistake of sending the plastic inserts back with the "faulty" pan and had to get the supplier to send some more. They apparently asked if he had bought one of the frames to which he replied "the lady on the phone who I ordered it from, assured me it would fit the (Geberit) frame". All verbal nothing in writing etc but he won't see the dangers of that! I wish to Christ he'd bought the wc (Bernstein) I suggested for the extra money. He also said this one is a pain to fit. Little holes in the side for an allen key I think. Anyone else come across the hole centres being too narrow? Cheers
  4. @Boris, don't know if you've chosen your furniture yet but these magnetic catches are magic imo. I just fitted them to a couple of cheap doors for now (oak later). As this little video shows. No chance of catching your hip or clothes as you pass:
  5. His builder reckons it's the tool for the job. My first question was why hadn't his builder got one.
  6. Could you create a sump/depression in the DPM to sit a (sump) pump in?
  7. A mate is in the market for a first fix nail gun. Looking at a second hand Paslode IM360. Any good? Fixing cavity closers to blockwork I believe.
  8. Thanks. Does the "program" estimate the length of filament required for the print?

    Photo of more work

My son's mate's Dad does this as a bit more than the hobby from which it grew. He has his own hives plus others that he sites on sympathetic owners land locally. He then manages the hives. Makes for some interesting flavours if say the hive is sited in an apple orchard when that's the predominant flavour. Just over a fiver for a jar too. He sells to local delis, garden centres etc.
  10. As recommended by @PeterW, says his mate's company uses a couple of this model. The one I've ordered is the S model so has a few embellishments. They do rapid prototyping. @Jeremy Harrisalso went with the same company albeit his is a resin printer. Fingers crossed this one turns up. I can see a Baby Groot being on the cards to make (for his little sister) so I'll need to get some wood filament. Where's the best place you find to buy (filament)? It comes with 1kg of PLA.
  11. I've just pushed the button on an i3 Mega S direct from Anycubic.
  12. Be nice to see in it fully I must admit. They've said £120 but might be I just say "Keep going until we hit £200!" ? I intend volunteering to haul the vacuum hose and drop it in etc. Bit of a route around bushes etc. Access is worrying me but I told them I've 3.6m between the new pillars and space I reckon to pull up on the drive in front of them. The condition of the "lid" is the most worrying thing for me. Did think to empty it then cave the roof in and take out the rubble, then cast a new, "safe" lid. It's a sh!tty job but someone's got to...
  13. Wines good too. Usually have a glass after the beer.
  14. You can set the blades down to just a few mm.
  15. I read about the effects of drinking recently so have given up reading.
  16. Could you use say a wall chaser to cut some parallel slots in the screed at the edge then break the "fingers" out?
  17. If only. Bad day, just waiting for SWMBO to come in so I can hit the beer (knowing I've not got to go out again)!
  18. Posts, plural. No. Losing what little mojo I had at the moment. Feels like I'm fighting a succession of losing battles against overwhelming odds! Maybe I need a SAD lamp! ?
  19. Do nothing. Let nature take it's course: https://www.sciencedirect.com/topics/earth-and-planetary-sciences/water-erosion
  20. I think I'll do a plan of the plot, where the cess pool, road, boundaries are etc along with an elevation and put to the collective with a view to what's possible treatment plant wise. Fed up with this 3rd world set up.
  21. I often have a shatkora which seems apt!
  22. No ideas other than it doesn't. Must be that big.
  23. 19 years I think it is. Coming to Kent? No Room At The "In"! ?
  24. Lol! I only found where it was this year! "Over there somewhere" was all I knew beforehand. Too full to guess the construction even then. I thought it was a septic tank that was chambered? Pretty sure this is one big pit of sh!t.
