It's a wet room so I painted the concrete floor with liquid tanking membrane before I tiled.
-
Check out @oranjeboom's thread. He dug down the whole ground floor. I did too although in just the one room, the bathroom. Floor brought back level to the adjacent floors. Kangoed the old concrete floor Dug down by hand 50mm of Type 2 compacted Sharp sand blind 25mm EPS DPM 150mm PIR Polypipe panels with 16mm UFH pipes 100mm wet concrete laid to screed rails Tanked 8mm ceramic tiles Not yet connected the UFH so it's bloody freezing in there but I'm hopeful!

Is that through the joist ends?

I think it was reviews in the 3D printing community. -
The ones with the pistons are aren't they? That's what I meant. Similar to the one I bought my lad that you can sit atop a cup of tea.

Exactly! Like asbestos gets broken up and quietly buried...old engine oil gets burnt...cess pool gets pumped down the road when its heavily raining... ?

Last one was falling / slipping down a ladder and running the electric plane across the lead. -

And the Buildhub Darwin Awards are up and running! Hope I don't join the ranks doing the cess pool tomorrow! -

Not to mention stoopid! ? -
The printer arrived. Bloody heavy box, 14.8kg. Unfortunately I, I mean HE ?, won't get to play with it until his Birthday (21st Dec) or Christmas depending on what we decide it's for.

Very mesmerising they are. Stirling engines in action!

The Geberit cisterns are insulated I think. Mine certainly is.

Been said elsewhere on here that it doesn't get great reviews. -
My concealed Geberit is on the mains. I shall have a look now.

Nah, Design & Technology GCE, GSSEs a bit after my time. All that 1st, 3rd angle, 30 & 45 oblique and perspective drawing on the board went in and stuck. Helps I can visualise in 3D. Now if you want a pretty sketch check out @AnonymousBosch's Paddington Bear inspired style!

I suggested he beef up around the wc like this: Reckons he can't because of: & FFS all he has to do is scallop the upright around the waste and maybe thin down around the Tenbys!
-
Youre all missing a (cheap) trick! Nasty black waste pipe (or indeed white plastic)? Nice bit 'o foil tape: Brought to you by Mr Cheapseats. ?
-
8mm bolts? They're 12mm on the Geberit.
-
Do you just dot and dab it on, no mechanical fixings?
-
I was happy with my Bernstein NT2038 pan fitting the Geberit frame spot on.
-
Yes it was done on Jeremy's Anycubic Photon resin printer. Weird as it felt super strong and flexible. I don't think I have the option of PETG as a material to use with this printer, maybe you can with some hack? What do you reckon as the best material then for that Makita/ Ferrex battery adapter you looked at for me? Could be his first job! ? The one I've just bought is down $20 for Black Friday ?

Stage 1 Is Very Nearly Complete :)

Games room's sorted I see! ? -
He got his new wc. It fits better than the first so it must have been a moulding issue. I do hope this doesn't end in tears for him. I can't for a start believe his pan's fixings are better than the flat washer and nut that come with the Geberit! Seems the "bullet" screws onto the Geberit studs then the allen screw goes in from the side or something: Looking at the 1st picture above I don't like the way he has the uprights orientated. Then he has no stud either side of the Geberit frame.

Master bathroom gutted - suggestions needed
Onoff replied to H F's topic in General Self Build & DIY Discussion
Amazed at what they stopped out of my sons uni house deposit. It was a sh!t hole to start with. Things like "stain" - X pounds to redecorate. The garden was cat sh!t covered dirt when they moved in and they let a few weeds grow. That became "re landscape". -
Just spoke to him and he reckons he can borrow a gun now. Why not just blob some no nails on the back or whack a couple of clout nails in?
