? I used the red Polypipe trays. They just clip together. Any overlapping joints I was concerned about just went over with duct tape.

I see you've bought a broom at last!

That's a new one on me... The latest here is some new incomers kids have apparently strayed onto their neighbour's property over a very unclear boundary. First time I've seen a police car down here since they were looking for the last murder victim. -

Yep, when it's really unpleasant to sit in your own back garden because of the overpowering whiff of the neighbours weed smoking. It was the same when I lived in a terrace house before I bought this place! ? -

1) She must share your vision. 2) She gets stuck in and helps. 3) I bet she doesn't complain if you have tools "everywhere" (even if you have nowhere decent to store them). 4) I bet her constant retort, like a maddening record, isn't "You'll take forever!" (Well love, you can't finish some thing unless you start). 5) I'll swap with you! ? -

Unvented Cylinder Installation. Spot the Problem!
Onoff replied to Iceverge's topic in Boilers & Hot Water Tanks
I'd just leave the valve in the open position then undo the nut and remove the handle. Loosely put the nut back on and tie the handle somewhere local on a bit of string/small cable tie.- 69 replies

At least the render should key well. -
Welcome! (I used to love Sue's Cafe in Norwich market before it all burnt down. "One belly buster moi luv!" ?) Why an elevated pad that high? Any form of insulation in the floor?

My bathroom walls and ceiling are 12.5mm moisture resistant on 400mm centres. Will it fall down? ? The upstairs 4 rooms in the dormer are 9.5mm pb on walls AND ceiling. The proverbial plasterboard tent.

Wasn't there a thread about this very issue a little while ago? Tbh I thought it had been said they needed support... Do you just tape the joint then?
-
The edges of each board need support imho.

See my link above to use new style batteries on the old tools.

I half wondered if it was to do with it clogging up. Easy enough to isolate and remove/clean the gauze screen.

As far as I can remember I should have fitted my prv on a horizontal section of pipework according to the manufacturer's instructions...which I never read.

Short term I'm going to FINISH ? my Makita battery to Champion tool adapter and see how that runs. I've literally ONLY got to cut and bend some 1mm copper up then solder a couple of wires and female spades on. Hope to be done by tomorrow night.

Is it the saw or the batteries failing? 14 years old, has it had / does it need new brushes? (Guessing it's brushed). 18V old red Nicads or black NiMH? Adapter any good? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/18V-Li-ion-to-for-Makita-Adapter-18V-Ni-cd-Ni-Mh-Batteries-Converter-M-U-/193499504996?

People here tend to keep themselves to themselves. I know my immediate neighbours but barely know next door but one either side. Beyond that not a clue. Mind I've only had the house 20 years. This old place the pics are from I'd say hello to the old couple when I was walking the kids in their prams and used to give him a few bottles of NZ beer a couple of times but never went in the house. Across the road 3 new sets of "incomers".
-
No this will be his first decent brand 18V. He was thinking DeWalt but I suggested Makita.

Old and rusty! I was going to look closer but everywhere reeked of damp etc. The relative is taking the cars before the place gets sold. I'll try and find out. I quite fancy that one in the video. Wild guess Talbot Roche or maybe RR?

John Ward is wrong, plain and simple. The previous regs said about placing out of reach. The new regs specifically say you can't. Black and white. He's using the wording of the old regs to justify what he's saying. I quite like him/his stuff but wrong is wrong. Cherry picking to make his point is imo a bit unforgivable. Quoting previous regs is just bang out of order. If you want a "normal" light switch in a bathroom fit a Quinetic. Quinetic MK/Varilight grids if you want them a bit fancy.
