The only electrics in a blower one is the small air pump, they are usually made in Japan and mostly used fir coy carp ponds and been around for years. I bought a spare diaphragm for mine (a few quid) as that’s about the only thing that can go wrong.
Trying to think logically about this (as I know zilch about it!) are they installed and tested on certain buildings to meet certain insurance requirements?, if they are self installed as a precaution (to hopefully reduce building damage) and not done to meet insurance spec why would that be a bad thing? Can a badly installed lightning protector cause more damage than not having one? (I have had a chimney blown off by a lightning strike and blown every electrical device in that property!!!!!).
I would still leave the wall fixings with the nut on the right h/s, if you cannot get the nut on the left one you need to pack the hole around the threaded stud to stop the basin lifting in that corner from the basin being leaned on at the front right corner 🤔.
That’s all I used (they were resurfacing roads near me and I got it cheap as I was close). Drive still not finished but block paving on paths and patio on top of it has worked well.
I don’t understand the question!. I have check reveals in my brick and block build, the “check” but means the windows sit behind the brickwork rather than “in” the hole/aperture, the “check” is the brick width (100mm ish).
